Good Morning Lovely Ladies. Are we ready for Magic Monday. A new week beckons. Full of promise. It's all about our Mindset. control our minds and our thoughts and anything is possible. When I feel myself dipping or that I just cba I give myself a stern talking to and do my utmost to kick those negative thoughts to the curb.Btw. I am having issues with my iPad. I think it's on the blink so if I suddenly "go dark" you know why.Chiro earlier. Ouch. Lol. Need to take it easy now, early lunch and then maybe a nap.I'm having a break now till next Monday. See how that goes. This week I am going to do some gentle decluttering, tidying cupboards etc. looking forward to it.Have a great day.....6

Another lovely and bright day here. I immediately feel so much more energetic when Spring is round the corner.
I did order some Dylon black dye to dye some skirts I bought from a charity shop recently. The skirts are olive green and orange and I think I would prefer them black as that goes with everything. I will throw in some tops to dye as well. I ordered myself a new mascara as mine was getting clumpy and I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but I bought some sunscreen too. I will need it if we have another heatwave here this summer.
My husband is picking up some overtime this week as we have spent so much this year already. We have so much food at home that I have done us a meal plan for the rest of the week. I want to clean the rust off the garden furniture this week and finish another book. I'm going to see if the laundry dries outside on the line tomorrow morning. I really hate having washing hanging up inside the house. I have a bag ready to go to the charity shop tomorrow as well.
I am out in London meeting my brother tonight for a meal. I'm going to try and eat something relatively healthy at least and try not to spend too much money. I wanted to arrange for him to come and look after our dog when we go out as we wanted to use up some more of the cinema tickets we bought so I will bring my diary with me.

Hi everyone and hope you're all having a good Magic Monday?
I'm in the office but it's relatively quiet and I managed to get out for a nice mooch at lunchtime in M&S, Waterstones, Boots and the Oxfam bookshop without spending a single penny! Lunch was a jacket potato with beans and cheese brought in from home, and snacks have been satsumas, plums and grapes. I want to have another good week at SW as I'm so close to target now. All about the mindset as @helensbiggestfan says.
I'm hoping to leave a little earlier today as boss is out of the office unwell and I'm up to date on everything here. Just one meeting at 2pm-2.30pm that I need to join.
I will do some ironing tonight - I know it's a chore for some people, but I actually don't mind it as long as there's something on the TV worth watching!

helensbiggestfan Hope you feel better soon after the chiro. You're right about mindset. It can be tricky bur reframing something can make the world of difference. Magic Monday: not much magic happened as such but I feel like I am winning in the quest for a clearer house and got 10 miles walk in. 8 mile round trip to shops and then 2 miles to collect dc from school.2024 decluttering Campaign

Dfw.......wow 10 miles. You must be as fit as a fiddle. Here's me feeling chuffed if I manage a mile.Wednesday. What a good idea to dye charity shop bargains to your colour of choice. I really must have a go.Transformation Tuesday. Not quite sure what's happening today. Might be meeting a friend for coffee and need to go food shopping. Other than that no real plans. Nothing radical today, need some down time. Chiro was rough yesterday, it wiped me out. I slept most of the afternoon. Still feel delicate today so will just pace myself.I'm feeling a bit frustrated at my lack of progress. Life feels a bit like one step forward, two back at the moment. Issues popping up all over the place. Lol. But I guess that's just the ways things go sometimes. So nothing special today, no transformation breakthroughs. Just need to trust the compound effect and the power of tiny daily habits. I need to remain positive and have faith in the process.I just need to keep on, keeping on......
Have a great day y'all.9 -
Happy Transformation Tuesday!
I think there must be something in the air as I am not feeling very transformational either! Mine is definitely hormone related - those pesky suckers are making everything feel like wading through treacle wearing a wet fur coat!
Still - I have put a cute outfit on, washed my hair and am about to take 20 mins to do some creative planning for the day. Fingers crossed that I hear about the bungalow today - I have got to the point that I just want to know now!
Rest up @helensbiggestfan - the Chiro is a lot on your body. Sometimes pacing and taking things one step at a time is the best kind of transformation - tortoise transformation instead of hare!
Have good days all xx9 -
You’re all doing so well. It’s good hearing what everyone is doing.
Transformational Tuesday. After my shift ended I bought two cheap storage boxes (Wham Studio 4.02) to try in my kitchen wall cupboards. Wow! I need some more now, I am well impressed with how they’ll improve the kitchen pantry management. My Local shop only had two, hope they’ll have more soon. Using my dear Mum’s ancient dymo machine to label them too. Consciously trying to support local business instead of online. Using some of my extra wages from additional hours this month to make home better and more organised. Cost c.£50 to do all the shelves. Obviously watching Stacey and Dilly has had a beneficial effect. After living in this house 3 years it’s time to tweak it.I also went to turn on the outside tap to water my planters for the first time in months to find it disconnected under the bath. Very puzzling.. plumber came promptly and fixed. Although I turned valve off in November I did not leave the outdoor tap open… lesson learned. £30 to mend. Pipe must have frozen in December and popped joints. No leaks so that’s ok. Could have been so much worse!Take it easy HelenMy darling GD has shared her sore throat, so I’m awake early and off to gargle… only a little work booked today so that’s ok. Full day tomorrow.8 -
"wading through treacle wearing a wet fur coat". Love it, a perfect perfection description of how it can feel at times. I agree hormones can be the root of so many of our issues. If they are out of kilter they can knock us for six.All I know is I am just so tired of feeling so tired. I want my va va voom back. I refuse to believe that this constant lack of energy is an inevitable part of ageing. And that is what this year is all about.....I am fighting back.
so on with Wellness Wednesday
Progress report.....a week of two halves. I have regained 1.5lbs, disappointing. But the good news is that my blood sugar levels are coming down nicely. Back in the pre diabetic range. Of course I want to bring them back down to normal so will continue to work on that. I have been walking more and doing my chiro exercises and also a few pilates stretches. It's tough going sometimes, just need to keep at it. I always knew there would be set backs, progress in any endeavour is seldom linear. Definitely more tortoise than hare. 😁Artistlifestyle. .sorry to hear about your sore throat. Get well soon.I too like to put things in boxes or containers. It really does free up space and helps keeps things tidy and organised. I got most of mine from ikea, Asda and Wilkinson's. I haven't done any decluttering this week so I'm going to tackle my kitchen cupboards today.I've watched a couple of those Stacy Solomon programmes. Some of those poor people have really got themselves into a state and seem to be overwhelmed. Easy done though. I do think decluttering has to be done regularly to keep on top of things, otherwise things can quickly get out of hand, especially when you have young children.Time to start the day......have a good one. ❤️11 -
Hope you have a good day @helensbiggestfan and get your energy back soon.
Wellness Wednesday - love it7 -
I'm being greedy and not just having Wellness Wednesday I'm having Wellness Week! Meeting up with a SIL I haven't seen for months really set me back at the weekend. She is overbearing and obnoxious hence the reason I rarely see her but this time her comments cut deep. Things got worse when I pulled her up. Although it saddens me to an extent time to cut contact for good.
