Aaah thanks @helensbiggestfan. I think you are right it's the only way to save myself a bigger headache in the future. It was only a few pieces per child anyway, as both dds have a different 'style' eldest dd tomboy, youngest dd princess but had a few 'boys t shirts' dinosaurs, Thomas etc when she was 2, ds will wear anything including hairbands and tiaras 🤣 got some good photos for when he is a strapping rugby player or something 👍
We didn't have a lot when I was growing up either, and I felt the difference between myself and the other children particularly because they highlighted the difference 😔. So I am trying to walk the line of having enough, that they do not feel they have a lack of stuff but not too much, tricky to manoeuvre sometimes (thankfully they don't care for brands as they are still little although I imagine n!ke trainers or equivalent will be got for eldest dd in her next size as every other kid in her year has them and she has ones from the supermarket... she is having a tough time at school and don't want this to be a point of further bullying type behaviour). I think compared to a lot of kids they don't have as much as we have regular clearouts but there is still enough stuff to make a right blooming mess every time I leave the room.
Fab Friday: hoping to do a face mask tonight. Today is a disaster for fabulousness- sleep deprivation, 2 poorly children and I cba to wear anything than joggers so next Friday I will put in double the effort 😁. Then only thing looking fab is my 🐸 list - completed 5 small ones already in between the demands of children.
Hope you all have a fab Friday 😀2024 decluttering Campaign

I also spent Super Sunday watching Puss In Boots, great comedy pic to lift the spirits.
Transformation Tuesday was a long walk to the cemetery and clean up hubby’s grave, removing all the Xmas pots and flowers and putting on fresh bright ones.
Wellness Weds was a good walk with 2 friends lots of catching up and a nice coffee at the end, also planning a spa break for later in the year for BIG birthdays !Thursday was Tidy day at work, lots of resetting to do.
Fab Friday must mean my home looking fab. I have done a deep clean of my washing machine and sink drains! Mopped and dusted and polished mirrors. It’s very windy but have left the actual washing till tomorrow as my Dgrandson will have uniform needing washing, so will do together.
Helen have you gone back to your short style? I am debating what to do with mine, I prefer it shorter, though last time I went the hairdresser suggested leaving the length and going towards a short bob, but I’m not keen on covering my ears!! As I feel it drags down my face. So have been on the web searching a new style!A weekend in work for me but hope it’s a wonderful weekend for you all.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.7 -
Hello again.....
Back from my chiro, walked there and back, so feeling very virtuous. Before I went I gave myself a mini skin peel. I use the boots glycolic peel. It's £23 for the kit and I probably get at least ten treatments so great value for money. It's very mild and I can safely use it twice a week, but normally I do it once a week because I also like to do clay mask once a week.My skin feels lovely afterwards. I won't be wearing any make up today because I prefer to rest my skin after a peel. Whilst I do enjoy a salon facial I tend to do my own to save money. I am after all a qualified beauty therapist. 😂. The one thing I can't do is give myself a proper massage.....I do have a couple of diy electrical massage gizmos, they are fine but not as good as a properly trained masseuse. That's something I'm really looking forward to once I've finished this batch of chiro treatments.Artistslifestyle....I have taken your advice and rescheduled my last 3 sessions to give me more downtime in between treatments. I don't think I will lose much momentum or progress, not at this stage, and I think it will be more beneficial for me to allow more healing time between adjustments.Wort...yes I have gone back to a shorter style. Not as short as my old Judi Dench style crop more like Meryl Streep's style in "Devil Wears Pravda". My hair is pure white so it does suit a sharp cut which also makes my hair look a bit thicker too. I agree with what you say about a longer bob. I too feel that covering my ears makes me look rather drawn and tired and has a somewhat dragging effect on my face. So I have gone back to a shorter style, cut about half way down the ear. Instant facelifting effect..... but without surgery. What's not to like. 😉.
Need to rest this afternoon so will give myself a manicure.Just about to have lunch. My guilty pleasure is Croque Monsieur. (All that cheese). I am having Aldis version as a treat for Fabulous Friday.I shall compensate by having a healthy prawn salad for supper. 😂🤣.10 -
Ha ha ha crazycatlady2 & failingminimalist thought I should clarify before I got a reputation 🤣.
That's a great idea floss thank you!
Sounds like a lovely week wort.
Helensbiggestfan your hair sounds lovely. I like having shorter hair too. Haven't been to the hairdresser for a few years now - miss that, will have to put on my to do list.
Well ds now has the telltale spots in his mouth and some spots have appeared on his hands.... he is having a second nap (he hardly slept last night) which is good as he was inconsolable this afternoon.
Hope you all have a lovely evening.2024 decluttering Campaign

I have had one hell of a week with two crazily hectic and stressful work days, plus two of my friends both having their husbands die suddenly within two days of each other. As someone put it, perhaps we should have read the terms and conditions before accepting 2023.
Anyway, Fabulous Friday was celebrated by having my hair cut and coloured. As I retire from work this coming week I have decided to continue with the salon visits but every six weeks instead of five, to help with the finances. Every little helps, they say.
This weekend will be one of pottering about, doing housework stuff at a leisurely pace. Back at work on Monday and Tuesday for my final two shifts, then I shall be a laydee of leisure, peel me a grape, someone! One life - your life - live it!13
