Nargleblast......how exciting. Grapes peeled, ready and waiting.😁. But, oh, how awful about your friends losing their husbands, two in one week. 😞.Wonderful Weekend
I have no plans, none whatsoever. Bliss. I'm just going to potter about and enjoy my free time.❤️7 -

Enjoy your weekend helen. x5 -
That must be cool for you to be so close to retirement Nargleblast! What are you planning on doing after work? Moving house, travelling?
I don't have anything planned this weekend, although I am meeting my brother on Monday for a meal. He was diagnosed prediabetic at the end of last year so he has been off alcohol and trying to lose weight so I will see how that is going. I haven't seen him in about a month. I am back on the healthy eating too as I can feel the clocks are close to going forward and I usually get much more energy when that happens. I feel recovered from having Covid too as my steps have increased a lot in the past week according to my Fitbit. I was trying to lose weight before May as we were planning on going away but I have to see what the people with the damp survey says next week and how much that cost us. *Sigh*.
I still didn't find a navy cushion, but I did buy a few bits yesterday, a red Bon Marche jumper for £1, a couple of fiction books for 10p each and a lovely citrus scented candle.
I'm just having some blueberries and a cup of coffee. I forgot to clean and put up my washing line, I will do that when I get back from the shop. I'm going to batch cook some soup as well today and maybe start one of my books.:)

Sorry to hear about your friends' husbands @Nargleblast - how terrible x
Nice to factor in a treat for yourself - when I eventually retire I'd like to do the same. I've got at least 7 years yet!
Super Saturday: lost 0.5lb at SW, having my haircut later then off to the cinema to see Puss in Boots. DH is away and wouldn't fancy seeing it, so going by myself with eleventy billion children probably! I'm going to get my eyebrows threaded later too - the salon had a queue this morning so left it.
Might have egg and SW chips for tea because only myself to please - hurrah!

Once I retire I will be kept busy with my dog and with the choir. I am also looking into taking up something like tai chi or yoga, to keep myself fit. Then there are my plans to go through the house and declutter and spring clean. I certainly won't just sit and rot in a corner! One life - your life - live it!9

Quiet day yesterday tidying house, today ds and I are off to see the puss in boots film, dinner in the slow cooker will be done when we get home and we will take some snacks to enjoy at the cinema. Will pick dd up from work on the way home. Back to work tomorrow, which I am not looking forwards to, but hopefully the sun will be shining and the customers in good moods'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. It is like Spring out there. It is absolutely lovely. I went to Coop to buy some sponge scourers as I had run out. I finally got a Coop card while I was there as I do use that shop a lot!
I started watching Mare of EastTown last night on Sky. It stars Kate Winslet. I thought it was really good so far. It reminded me a bit of Sharp Objects with Amy Adams which I also really enjoyed.

I am going to play fetch with my dog in the garden for a while and enjoy the sunshine.:)

Super Sunday.Well it's certainly that alright, as you say, Wednesday it's like spring. I sat out in the garden for a while with my book and it was just lovely. The other thing I've done today is had a furniture move round, removing some items to put in the spare bedroom for now. Freed up space in both my bedroom and my lounge. Both rooms look and feel lighter and more spacious. Good Feng shuey too. Less is definitely more......
have been looking on Right Move. Found a fabulous property....but wouldn't you just know it, it is right at the top of my budget and then some. Of course 😂.
I'll think about it. I wont rush in just yet. Who knows, with a bit of luck, maybe if I wait a few weeks they will reduce the price. 🤞🤞🤞.7 -
Catching up on Super Sunday night. Worked until 2 pm then saw dd, d in l, and gd for a few hours, so a very super day. Dd helped me clear up garden from storm Otto damage.
I’m sure Helen you will feel the difference with spacing out the sessions. So sorry to read of the losses and struggles of your friends nargleblast.Been watching Stacey Sullivan and sort your life out. Thinks it’s time to tidy some drawers, maybe I’ll have a tidy up Tuesday one week soon. Not until my colleague’s fracture is healed though as I have so many extra work hours.Dd says I don’t need drawer dividers I just need to perfect my folding technique…
night all x6 -
Had a pleasant if busy weekend, getting the flat sorted and walking the dogs. I also had a massive piece of good fortune, my Dad and Step-Mum are replacing their car and have offered me the use of their old one for as long as I like. Its got 12 months MOT and has just been serviced, so its going to do me the best turn!
Still haven't heard about the bungalow - they were doing more viewings on Saturday, so will just need to keep everything crossed that the landlady really liked me!
I am so sorry to hear about your friends husbands @Nargleblast - what a terrible loss for them.
I hope that everyone else has had good weekends - how is it Monday again already?8
