Happy Fab Friday lovelies! I have got dressed today - which is a step up on the last 2 days! 

I hope that everyone has had a good week.  I am coming out the other side of the germ, which is good.  I didn't get the bungalow.  I am a bit disappointed but also, the extra 6 months that are left on my lease will mean I can clear some debts, improve my credit score and save some money, so those are all positives. 

I am going to really go at it as hard as I can for the next six months with being frugal, try and make it into a game or something fun. 

Those afternoon tea's look absolutely delightful!

Wow those afternoon tea pictures are amazing. I too love an afternoon tea with girlfriends. DH not so keen - too dainty and it takes a lot to fill him up!

Happy Friday all. I have already dyed my hair and my eyebrows (first time doing eyebrows) this morning. I'm going wedding dress shopping with DIL2B and her mum and sister tomorrow so wanted to look a bit smarter! First time meeting them so I'm a bit nervous (ridiculous I know!).

DH and I are off to the cinema tonight to see a black comedy/thriller about a drugged up bear. It's an early showing of 6.15pm so will need to eat afterwards. Will look to see what's in the freezer before resorting to Nandos or similar.

Sorry about the bungalow @failingminimalist - I hope something else suitable comes along for you. Good idea to focus on the debt and savings for now.

Congratulations on your retirement Nargleblast, your afternoon tea sounds lovely. I am off today so will potter around, not much to do today, ds is at school and dd will be off to work soon. I will probably go for a walk in a bit. Work has been a trial this week but I don't have to think about it til Monday.

Thanks both - I am firmly one of those that believes that if you don't get something then it wasn't for you.  I am sure that something else will come up and I will be in a much better place financially to enjoy it!

Coxy11 , I’ve been looking forward to that movie 😂 might see it this weekend if I can persuade dh, enjoy! 

For fab Friday I’ve splurged by ordering a vintage style dress for myself (it’s my birthday next week) so I’ll see if dh wants to buy me it 😬 will save it for our cruise in April, it makes a change from the tracksuits and fleeces I’ve spent the winter in as it’s so cold 🥶 Will have a bath and maybe facepack and nail painting tonight. Have a great weekend 🙂

I'm now at the stage where I can't think of SIL and her antics any more so feel a lot brighter and lighter this morning 😁

I'm also really in the mood for an afternoon tea!! However, it's lunch and cocktails tomorrow with a really good friend and we will put the world to rights.

It's a cold sun shiney day here so planning to get out for a walk at lunch time and if I feel motivated enough may walk a little further to our local butchers and stock up the freezer a little.

Other than my Olio collection at 8:30pm its a chilled day today.

Happy Fab Friday! Been to have a scan and situation has improved so that is pretty fab! Both dds are off school (inset day) so we are going to spend the afternoon doing some lego and organising some toys to go into their bedroom in a few weeks when ds moves into his bedroom (just got to decorate it first....😉)
More painting tonight and have ordered myself 2x wide leg trousers, in bright colours, as I am fed up of yoga pants or joggers in grey, black or navy 😀 Spring has almost sprung and I need to stop dressing like a teenager, I am fooling no-one 🤣
