Good job I forgot my password as last week was not the best and I was a grumpy old moo. Anyway time to focus on a new week and so far, DD2 does not require new glasses as her eyesight appears to stablised and her cateract hasn't got any worse. Unfortunately she did need new boots- cost us £33.45.
Decluttered the tumble dryer to the local charity shop as we have only used it once or twice in the last year as DD2 medical issues have cleared up. Hopefully we will be able to put a saved cupboard(s) in the space.
Train tickets booked for hopefully DD2 last trip to london for a hospital appointment- cost an eye watering £185 as we no longer have a railcard and apparently you have to send the paperwork off for a disabled person's railcard (used friends and family in the past but she's too old now) and the appointment is last minute. I worked out that the cost of the card and the tickets would only save a small amount and it probably wouldn't arrive on time.
Quick food shop £9.57, will go get the rest tomoorow as its a visit to a different supermarket.
Its use it up night here as I can't be bothered to cook. I can claim my first sprend free day for Sunday. Not a penny spent so I'm off the mark..
Right best get ready to take DD2 to her youth club group and then almost 2 hours of relaxation before I go and get her.

Forgot I read on here someone was having to take iron tablets. I have to take them to due to ongoing health issues but they were really giving me bad stomach ache even the tummy kind one. I spoke to the pharmacist and he told me to take them with a drink of orange juice as that would aid asbsoption and should resolve the issue. I gave it a try and its worked.

WfH today. Too much time on the laptop trying to fix an issue. I'll be logging off for the rest of the evening soon.
Got a washing out on the line and decluttered a bag of bags. Yes, a bag of bags. Every time someone gives me something in a plastic bag, I add that bag to another bag filled with plastic bags... just in case bags... might come in handy bags... anyway I have decluttered a pile of them and kept the ones I can use for shopping or as bin bags. I've also got a bag of bags for gift bags and packaging bags but that's for another day.
Grateful today for waking to lovely birdsong outside the window, leftovers for lunch, for a dry day, and for solving the work issue (onto the next!).NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸10 -
Today I am grateful for a sunny day, for a good dr visit with dc, for the timing of the dr visit meaning dc missed a lot of emotional stuff at school, for my marking taking much less time than anticipated, for snowdrops and croci.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

@ldee2111 I have a trusty bag of bags too! Keep meaning to take it to the recycling point but I forget until it gets to the point where I can't even close the cupboard that the bag of bags lives in!Not much went on today. Took my friend's dog for a walk, the first time I've managed a walk since I got ill. It was chilly but really helped clear the head! Worked from home for part of the day and also did a visit. Wasn't the worst day, just catching up with things. I did buy lunch as I was on the road but it was a planned spend.I checked my club card account and have £25 of vouchers, decided to use it against this week's shopping delivery.10

We have a bag of bags too, lol.
Our local Aldee now also takes bags (from apples, crisps etc) which is great.
We have two old Am@z0n fire tablets and I thought of trading them in with Am@z0n. But they only offer £10 or less once evaluated even for the newer one. Saw them being auctioned on 3bay for more. Anyone got any advice or experience selling items like this?

Today was a good day, cashed out £15 of won/survey/ free-to-me Big River Vouchers, got sent £7 T0sc0 vouchers, did 3 wash loads, all dried mostly on the line, volunteered, got huge bunch of ys asparagus (20p) and corn on the cob (10p x 6) , 1 loaf at 20p and 5 packs of 20p crumpets (breakfasts sorted!) from Herr LeedleCame home, made a shepherds pie and 2 x apple crumbles, went off to volunteer again, and rang DH at 5pm to tell him food was hidden in the oven and to turn it on. Yay! Food ready when I got home. Lush. Nobody complained! last month's ys ice cream also made an appearance. The boxes that the ice cream came in, are now being reused as lunchboxes as they are the perfect size. Nothing is getting wasted!Laundry came in off the line and went into the dryer, and it was all done in 20 minutes. A huge saving.
