New Santander £200 Switch Offer - January 2023

    I currently have 3 accounts with Lloyds - Main account where my income comes in, Bills account where all my direct debits come out from (i just transfer the needed amount from my main when income comes in) and third a simple savers account. 

    I have this morning started the process for a switch of my main account to Santander and been accepted.

    Thoughts are i will initially just transfer 2 x direct debits as required to the Santander account, along with having my income into this account too...... that should qualify for the £200 switching bonus. 
    I can still transfer money from Santander to Lloyds for the other bills.

    When the switching bonus is paid i´ll open a bills and savers accounts and be done with Lloyds.

    My thinking is doing it this way it won´t confuse the switching bonus..... unless you savvy people know of a better way?

    Are you doing a total switch and what account are switching to.

    Do you have a club account with LLoyds  if so why are you not using the club Reg saver 5.25% or Monthly Saver 4.5 % or both

    Exactly my question too. I would transfer in to my existing account but that seems to need a branch visit.

    You don't need to open a new account if you already have a qualifying account or go into a branch to do it. I transferred an account into my existing Edge account over the phone. Just call the switching team on 0800 085 2202.



  • Anyone attempted a second switch to Santander who’s already technically ineligible for a 2nd bonus because they already received one?

    But I'd rather not have the Edge A/C and pay £3 month. A standard A/C is what I prefer. Might give them a ring or might just open a second account.

    It doesn't have to be an Edge Account, the Everyday Account with no fee is also a qualifying account for the £200 offer, you don't need a new one. As far as I know the only account that doesn't qualify is the old 123 Lite that's no longer available.

    think i'm going to take pot luck on this. 

    open new everyday account from with in existing login and start a switch (if this is an option when i get to do it tonight). chances are no bonus but i'll give it a go.

    I've tried this and even though I already have their 123 Lite I still had to fill in all my details AND upload ID.  That was done on the 24th and I'm still waiting for the account to be opened  :/

    thanks but i wanted to keep the 2 accounts seperate as this one is a doner account,just seen the new TSB offer but this one is more appealing as bonus is there in one go.
