Phoned in and switched my Nationwide account into my existing Everyday Account.

90 days for payout.

Although you have paid in the £1k , are you sure this will meet the terms, as you've in effect withdrawn £1k and then replaced it?

I've been with Santander for 10 years and any money I have in other banks has at some point been through them. My pension goes to them so they are getting more than £1000. See how it goes

Does anyone know if there is a minimum time you have to stay with Santander? Me and OH both switching our accounts to them for the bonus, then plan to later move our joint account to them (for no bonus but to pay our bills and get cashback) then switch our seperate current accounts on in a couple of months to avoid paying double fees? Does that plan make sense

I'm no expert but I would stay till I got paid the £200 unless someone has a better idea

Can someone confirm that the offer is being pulled from midnight?

I have an in-branch appointment to switch to my existing Santander account tomorrow morning, no wish to add a wasted journey to the frustration of missing out by hours.

Your timeliness is exemplary, congratulations!

I had some kind of premonition that it would happen, a search late last night brought up an article in the Sun (hence coming here to check for sure) stating the midnight deadline to start an application. And now it's gone, seemingly a sudden decision given it was still being shown here at MSE at about 10pm last night, without any indicator of the deadline.

Having called them last week to arrange the necessary in-branch appointment to switch, the first available slot at my local branch was March. Even travelling a bit of a distance only got me an appointment for tomorrow. A nice man even gave me a courtesy call to go over everything that I should bring with me and that it would be straightforward...best-laid plans!
