New Santander £200 Switch Offer - January 2023

I switched an account into my Santander 123, simple as a b c 10 minutes on the phone with the switching team.
Paid out £1000 from it to another account, then another account and back in to Santander, so covered all the terms and waiting for the £2000 -

I rang the switching team on the number mentioned here to do an internal switch from my existing Santander current account to the Edge account and was told twice it couldn't be done on the phone.
The second call them tell me to do it online via logging in then upgrading an account to the Edge account that way. Having re read this thread I'm worried now this won't officially class as a switch.
When people rang what process did they go through? I rang twice and both adamant it can't be done on the phone. I called the number and selected option 1.0 -

The number given here is for switching a non-Santander (external) account into your existing qualifying Santander account. This is what qualifies as a switch.0 -
