To follow on from my post above, although I cannot see any payments being made under the name 'incentive', nor do I remember doing a switch previously, it appears I may not be eligible. My switch is due to happen on Wednesday and no payment yet - I know it says up to 10 days but most people had theirs 2-3 days before the switch was due to happen.

Update on the above, called up and receive incentive in October 2020 - couldn’t see it because it was a closed account.

Advisor I spoke to was very passive aggressive with me when I said it’s a shame you couldn’t let me know before my switch goes ahead, her response being ‘perhaps you should keep a wee eye on your account better’
  • I had a switch offer from Halifax last summer but I assume switching to Lloyds will be okay as in the t&c's it just says you can't have had a switch offer from Lloyds bank before. Nothing about Lloyds banking group.
  • Not a problem, although the switch offer ends on 7 March so best to get on with it.

Just to note that it seems Lloyds have a robust system/memory for previous incentives received. (unlike some other banks...)

I tried it (knowing I'd previously got an incentive within the time period stated - since April 2020)) , and didn't get the incentive this time.

They helpfully sent a letter confirming this on the same day of the switch, but which arrived  a whole week later.

Halifax & Lloyds may be part of the same banking group but their products are entirely separate.
