@Soontobeoap I have a very small die cutting machine. I decided I only really wanted to cut sentiments and the odd flower or something, as I don't make that many cards. It is about 3 inches wide, and came from Aldi ! I have used it a fair bit, especially Christmas sentiments in glittery card.2023 craft items finished 4 big, 7 quick craft spend £75.124

Hello all
Apologies for being AWOL for a little while.
Mum has finally finished her radiation therapy and rang the bell for end of treatment.
Dad finally got his op and is slowly recovering although getting very bored.
FIL operation date came through and he will be in on September 28th.
Have done a little bit of crafting with my DD13. She sat and helped me go through my craft desk and we found 4 blank stockings so we put on a christmas film on the weekend and sat and decorated them for the 3 dogs and her guinea pig so they can be hung up and filled with some treats/toys etc for them.
Also went through old clothes and took off some fastenings, fabric etc to use for projects.
Got some iron on interfacing to make some bowl holders with towards the christmas hampers.
Have found out the snowman cross stitches to turn into cards.
Husband is off this week so spending time with him but Im determined to start tackling Christmas soon.
Loving all the projects so far.
The little raggy doll looks fantastic.
Love the recycled cat tree.
Cards and stitching all look great.
@Soontobeoap myself and holly are going to use some old wool I have to make a bobble hat garland. I know Aldi have some wool on offer at the minute for a few pound and then I think the only other things you need are scissors, toilet roll tubes and maybe cotton wool/stuffing/paper to fill them out with. Might be a nice little project. You can either make them into a garland or decorations for the tree.

Hi, I've been away for 2 weeks and can't believe all the posts and beautiful things that everyone's made. I went to Rome for a few days then on to Assisi where my niece was married in a nearby castle. Then my brother and sis-in-law and I went to Florence then Viareggio. I had a great time although it was really tiring. I took my knitting although didn't get very much done. Below is a photo of me yesterday knitting a Xmas jumper for granddaughter. I'm back to the wet and cold weather but so happy to be home 🤩 xx

@Old_fogey I will have to look out for one. I thought that they were all terribly expensive. It would open up so many activities that we could do.
@sammy_kaye18 and Holly, sounds like you are getting very busy for Christmas. Your garland sounds lovely. We had a go at christmas gnomes that sound similar. We made the hat as you have described and then made beards by wrapping wool around a piece of card. Like a pom pom but not as much wool. Then we pushed the tied middle bit into the hat and stuck on a nose! You can make lady ones too by plaiting the hair.
@plumduff55, that sounds like an amazing holiday. Its always lovely to get home, afterwards though isnt it. 😊
Well the weather is turning so I can see more crafting coming on. Enjoy everyone.*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

The date for our christmas fair has finally been arranged for end of November so it is all systems go here. I have had a lovely time this week embroidering cards for the club stall. Now DH and I are having a debate about what to sell them for. It is one day only and I honestly dont want to bring a lot of stuff home with me. My aim is for our group to make as much money as possible for the club. The cards have only cost me my time as everything else is donated. I think we should sell them for £1.00 as it is all profit. He thinks that they should be more so that people dont think that there is something wrong with them. 😂*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

Soontobeoap - they are lovely cards perhaps £1.50 each or 2 for £2 then you both get the price you would like
They are cards that would appeal to all sorts of people - when I saw them I thought they would be good to give to children as they are so happy (my lad would like the dog one).
Hope you have a brilliant time in November9 -
Seconded!

personally I think if you want to sell them then go for £1, or it could be £2 bogof however I think a higher price puts folk off.
A local charity shop told me that it made no difference if the books were priced @ £1 or 50 pence each as they sold the same number-it looks to me at £1 not many sell, so I find that hard to believe. In another town books are 3 for £1- they fly off the shelves.
It's alright to say things are hand made and price accordingly.... but are they still unsold at the end of the day?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Soontobeoap - the cards are lovely. I think price depends on your market I sell hand crafted items at various outlets. When I send items to my Dd's staff room - there is no quibble over price.
I can do quite well at my hairdressers.
I also sell at my SA table top sales - here buyers are looking for cheap/bargains - don't do so well.
I do quite a bit of my selling on social media to family and friends.
It helps with my sales that buyers know all proceeds go to SA - so many people will support the Salvation Army.

I have been very AWOL!
To be fair, I hadn't done a thing crafting wise over summer, lots of gardening and little holidays and reading.
Since small boy went back to school, I have made a pair of school PE joggers (shop bought never fit), made 20 cards (mix of Christmas and general birthday cards, and 30 christmas tags (but will count those as 3 sets). Not a clue what I'd got up to, and haven't caught up with everyone's fabulous makes, so will most again in a minute or ten!72/200- bust my craft stash 2023!
