2023 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Hello all. Sorry to hear of your loss Katiehound, they leave such a big hole in your life when they go. 

I have two cards to report- although one was finished off by my son as it was for his friend and he has very specific ideas on how he wants to decorate cards!!! I just let him loose with card blanks and my box of peel offs usually, but this friend LOVES owls, and i happened to have rescued an owl decoupage I was planning on splitting into multiple cards, so she got the first bit.

As it's now raining, I have no excuse but to craft- I've been pootling about visiting pretty gardens, going on long walks and ferreting about in my own garden whilst the weather has been nice. I will attempt to finally finish my son's PJ tops i've been threatening to do for weeks!!

Ah the weather today is shocking and I am just not feeling myself today for some reason so I think I may sit and do some crafting in a bit.

My daughters birthday is coming up so I think a card for her is going to be in order and I want to sit down and go through a load of material and cut up / remove fastenings etc from it to try and minimise it a bit so I can actually see what I have

So sorry for your loss @Katiehound. But what an age she reached and I'm sure she had a wonderful life with you over those many years (but never enough). I understand the loss and the change to the house!

I did well yesterday! I made a PJ top (finally), and got fabric cut out for two cushions that have been waiting for a while, and also bought the zips for them
Whilst buying the zips, i did buy some bargain fabric (£1.50 for 1.9m!!) For a door curtain that hides a shower in my room (don't ask, odd set up!!). I've already cut the fabric, just need to take the blackout fabric off the back of the old mismatched one to sew onto the new one and make some tabs for the top.
This morning I've made an 80th birthday card and sewn up one of the cushions, and started the other. Hopefully I will get the other cushion done and the tabs for the shower door curtain done- I might even get the old curtain unpicked!

Now up to 70/200.

Finished a baby blanket for a friend of a friend in the States - bit of a palaver as I was given the wool (3 balls pink, 3 of white) but found half-way through I didn't have enough. Fortunately, in my stash from at least 6 years ago were a couple of balls of pink left over from my niece's baby blanket - although not quite the same shade of baby pink.

But, hey, stripes are cool, right? 

Now sent off so hope she likes it - pic on my phone, will upload when I can

Cant wait to see pics @wraithlady. Ideas are flowing freely for our craft groups stall at the christmas fair. So far we have christmas decoration ideas for the tree all under £1.00. Someone had a brilliant idea for friendship bracelets, we may be able to do scrunchies and hair gifts for girls. And My christmas boots filled with sweets. Any other ideas that will use up stash and make a bit of moneycwill be gratefully recieved.
