Good morning, I finished the cushion yesterday. The sweatshirt had lovely floral fabric but I was under orders from granddaughter not to include it as she didn't like it now. I offered to embroider Nibbles name on the cushion but she said it would make her too sad. I think I might embroider a name tag and hide it inside the cushion.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

awww love the cushion @plumduff55
I was talking to my daughter the other day about her piggie Ron and that he is getting on now (he's about 6) so the inevitable is probably coming sooner rather than later. She's made it clear she doesn't want another one which makes me a little sad :-( I like her little fur potato.
I think tomorrow will be an indoor craft day as the weather here is meant to be shocking tomorrow so I will get some bits and pieces done inside. I have a few cards to make and send for the beginning of May so that will keep me occupied tomorrow.
I need to be ruthless with a good declutter in my craft corner but cant bring myself to tackle my material pile yet!Time to find me again4 -
I just wondered if any of the wonderful card makers on here have ever done any scrap booking. I would love to make DD, SIL and DS, DIL a family recipe book each for Christmas but havnt got a clue where to start. I think I might buy some simple cards and write up our favourite family recipes first and go from there. I think it would be lovely for both familys to be able to contribute recipes to hand down the generations.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@Soontobeoap I've done loads of scrapbooking. I've done both the single pages you put in plastic albums, and the spiral bound hard back ones. For something specific, definitely look for spiral bound scrapbooks. Hobbycraft sell them, and you can sometimes pick them up at The Works, Poundland, Home Bargains etc. The spiral bound bit to them means you can add in thicker bits and glue plenty in without worrying too much about it not shutting. They usually have ribbons to tie them shut too (I find that to be the most useful part!!)
I've seen templates and patterns for make your own scrapbooks (and even made one)- but they're not as robust. They're nice (I used mine as a bigger keepsake birthday card), but perhaps for the recipes you'd need something harder wearing.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025
