@sammy_kaye18, yes I have hit a slump. So much to to in garden. Weather has stopped that. Also crafting seems to have hit a slump since I finished Christmas 2 weeks ago! 🤣. We have had covid. DH is still testing positive and energy is lacking in both of us still. We are 14 days on from the start! Think the wheels have come off a bit!
I am cutting out a pelmet for our bedroom window today so I do hope to have something to show soon.
The weather here yesterday was gales, hail and lots of rain. Today blue skies and sunshine. Im sorry to hear you and your husband are still feeling the effects of Covid though. My niece has it at the minute and my son has not long gotten over it but he seemed to have it for about 2 weeks. He was coughing for about a week before he tested, and then a week or so with positive tests.
I have been out in the garden to try and tidy up a bit more, found my greenhouse poles had detached themselves so my boy child kindly picked me up some Wilkos own duct tape on the way home for me to secure the poles together with.
Then delivery man decided to call at the door and my dog Hamish ran to the small 2ft gate piece of wood we had across the side of house entrance and scared the life out of him.
(I don't know where the delivery men and post man have gotten it in their heads but they all seem to think my dog is a malinois/ridgeback cross - he's clearly not. He's actually a saluki x bull greyhound but if they are happy thinking I have a scary dog then maybe others are too so I'm in no rush to correct them since Im home alone most the day!)
Anyway - decided to save delivery man and build a gate. So I used 2 old pallets and a few screws I found laying about and voila!
One Hamish sized gate!
Then decided that whilst the weather was nice I would try and tackle another outside job. We have had a big plastic tub in the garden for years.....and it did have 3 bags of concrete in it which obviously the weather got too and the cemented into one big giant brick and its been the bane of my life for almost 10 years!
Well today I took a giant hammer to it and released some pent up aggression. Only problem is the first two bags shattered into nice pieces which are now nicely and rather prettily (is that a word?) under the hedge, but I have been left with a big giant round that had formed in the bottom from leaked cement etc and it seemed a shame to break it up so I'm trying to think of something to do with it so I'm putting it out there to the crafting gods. Suggestions? I'm thinking house number on it.
Picture of round (its about 1.5 - 2ft in circumference) and heavy!
I have actually planted my first seeds too. Some rosemary, in a tub by my garden gate
Now I need a nap! but my friend has just reminded me her daughter starts a new school Monday and I want to send her a good luck card so I will be making that later for her.

Take care @ florenceem. Hope DH is a bit better today.
@sammy_kaye18 could you make it into a bird table or bath with a bit of mosaic!
I have just completed peg bag. Needs an iron over. All made from left over curtain /cushion fabric. It has also taken me ages to find a project to use the pretty bias binding that I fell in love with about 4 years ago. I cut up the old one when it fell apart to use as a pattern.
Hopefully I am out of the slump and crafting will start again. 😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Same @Soontobeoap
I'm hoping getting moving with bits and pieces yesterday has given me a bit of a spurt to get things done.
I still have my penpal's letters to write so I may get decorating some of them later on ready to write.
I am out tomorrow seeing my family for a 60th birthday meal so tomorrow will be a write off for getting anything done.
@Florenceem hope you are ok lovely. x

Take care Florenceem
Great peg bag Soontobeoap
I'm trying to get back into crafting, as I have a lot of half finished projects and lots of supplies but it can be difficult to get the motivation.6 -
Every one seems to have hit a slump- I have too! I've done odd bits but not finished anything- had another go on the jumper I've been making my son for the last 4 years- this is the last year it might fit him, so I'd best get a move on! I've realised I can only knit when the house is completely silent and no one to distract me- and even then, only a couple of rows at a time! I half made a card and I've also worked some more on a Blouse for me. I'm taking that steady because it's a lot more complicated than anything I've tried before. It seems to be going OK though. I've stamped out some bits from my mums stamps when I saw her last week- got 4 coloured and just need to make them up now. Should be plenty of card stock used up there- I stamped out 14 images so will be a nice bump in the makes then!
I am going to make a good luck/how dare you leave us card for a work friend this weekend, and finish the half made card at least.

Been to visit Mr F - he didn't respond to me at all. I think that he didn't know that I was even there. No Craft mojo here.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Florenceem sending you lots of hugs lovely and hoping that Mr F is doing better. I've been following your posts on another thread and hope that you are doing ok. You really have been going through it with worry. Understandably so.
Still no crafting mojo here.
Had a family get together yesterday for my dads 60th birthday - I don't know what they put in the welsh rarebit I had at the restaurant - but why they felt the need to get all fancy with it I have no idea but it was rather unpleasant.
His birthday cake however looked great and was lovely.
I really do need to start going through my craft stock - its getting slightly over run on my desk and down the side which is now blocking the small cupboard with the gas meter in. I have lots of old pieces of clothing which I may sit down and go through. See if I can make them into something or at least group and cut them ready to turn into things like blankets etc.
Plus I have a load of wool and no idea what to do with it. I really should try crochet or knitting again.
Fairly sure I have either pulled something in my chest too or have something going on because its hurting down my breast bone when I cough.
Fingers crossed for some brighter weather soon to lift our moods. x

Hi everyone, love the peg bag @Soontobeoap.I've been busy sewing the baby quilt which I should get finished tomorrow. Still plodding away with the Aran hoodie - just to do the hood and bands now. I've finished the crochet square for March and will post a pic. I can see my crochet improving as I go along. I visited my son and his family yesterday and granddaughter asked me to sew her a cushion using an old sweatshirt and pjs. She loves Guinea pigs and her one died last year. It was awful for biting hence the name Nibbles 🥴.
Thinking of you @Florenceem - hope things get better for you soon.
Clothes to make the Guinea Pig cushion. I have had to order vilene today to stabilise the pjs as they are very stretchy.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)
