Hi, guys, I’m back again, and looking forward to reading about all your achievements. Thank you , everyone, for your kind words and compliments. It turned out I did have Covid – and, like last time, I was asymptomatic! The cold was a bigger incomvenience! I’ll comment as I come across things, so it will all be a bit disjointed - and long, sorry..
@soontobeoap, I hope you got on with your cardigan; no doubt I’ll read shortly that it’s finished and you’ve made umpteen other things since! I knew it! That’ a sweet little rainbow jacket. And good work re tunic, and pillowcase mending, Cracking Christmas cards! That’s a beautiful wee dress. You’ve used my favourite colours in that cosy hat. Is it crocheted? Thought so! Great willpower, not buying the wool ! And those other cards are super too. I hate mending pockets and linings, so you have my full admiration.
@sammy_kaye18, I hope you got a dentist sorted for your son; I go next week and I’m not looking forward to it. I rearranged/reorganised my craft room a few months ago and now there are lots of things I cannot find! Ouch, that trapped nerve sounds really painful; I hope it’s gone now. Oh good, it’s better! Good use of your card blanks and recycled images. Well done with the pyrography projects. Oh my, you are/were having a tough time; I hope everything’s sorted now. You made good cards for mothers’ day and birthday, and chose thoughtful gifts too, Oh, sammy, not again - you are certainly going through a difficult spell just now. Take care.
I do like that waistcoat, @plumduff55. And the fingerless gloves are cute; it looks like little pink hearts. That’s a great wool haul. Well done for treating yourself to the tunic and scarf too. Good luck with the bunting. Lovely jumper for DG’s Easter. Sorry to hear about your tooth trauma. Ooh, sparkles – that’s a great gift set. Good luck with the not-quite-enough-wool project. No doubt, Ill find out how it went before I finish catching up, lol. Oh no, calamity! It’s just as well you’re a quick knitter. That wool you found may not be your favourite, but it is knitting up very prettily. Enjoy making the quilt, ‘just because’ for a change, Wow, the cardigan’s done now too – that massage was indeed beneficial! Well done.
Great way to recycle/upcycle cards, @florenceem. I love the bunny bags, The packaging is great and will certainly help sales. I have almost finished 4 for my grandkids, just the tails and noses to add; the pattern looks quite similar to yours. I used hair ponios to close them. What a haul of chocolate cones! Your GCs will be very pleased with the Easter choccies, I’m sure. I’m looking forward to seeing the fabric flowers. December is the month of doom for us, with 8 birthdays, 1 anniversary and, of course, Christmas! My son’s birthday is on 19th and my husband’s is on Christmas Day. We have nothing to celebrate in May or September.
@emsi_b. that’s a great Barker outfit. I used to love making costumes for my kids/grandkids. The three oldest don’t want them now and the 5 year old hasn’t wanted anything ☹ Still hoping. Congrats on sales.
@vulpix, I hate making/altering curtains just because they are so heavy. Good luck. What a tough time you’ve had. I hope your Welsh break benefitted you. Congrats on getting that UFO completed and passed on and on getting hot water bottle covers made too. Shame about the chair. You’ve made a good job of the rocking chair and the chest.
@x_raphael_xx, Foxy is fairly coming on. Oh my, Foxy is all grown up and looking gorgeous!
Your tablet case is lovely, old_fogey. Well done on finishing the curtains. I’m glad that making the drawstring bag for your footpedal gave you satisfaction. The sewing machin I use most of the time can be operated without the pedal, so it’s hidden away in a cupboard!
Oh no, I am so sorry to read that your dog has died. @Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine. I think your wedding dress is going to be a show stopper! I love your shoes, they made me smile.
Congrats on repurposing and on your great haul from the market, @RavenRover.
Hi, @stashbuster, I love your memory bear, Well done on getting cards done and on making the skirts. Unicorn skirts, good choice – they’ll be popular. Why is it that when we get rid of stash because we have too much, somehow we replace it with more than we got rid of in the first place? Some years ago I made a skirt from strips of fabric, running vertically, and attached it to a favourite Tshirt of my DGD’s, that had got a bit short but still fitted width ways.
Your panels are pretty, @daisy_1571; I like your colour choices.
I’ll post my progress, not that it's much, later.

Brilliant post @greentiger 😃. I read all the posts on here and intend to make comments on the lovely makes then I forget !!! How do you do it - guessing i should be more organised.
Reading your post made me remember my oldest grandson who's now nearly 13. When he was young he loved dressing up and was always asking me to make him outfits - so for his 4th birthday I made him a Batman costume and I was Bat Gran 🤣. We both wore our costumes to his birthday party. Such a happy memory ❤️Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

That is an amazing batman costume @plumduff55. I have 2 Grandsons who love batman. They would be very jealous of that costume. Reminds me of a time the oldest of the 2 came through the knee of a new pair of tracksuit trousers. He was mortifiedso I said I would put a batman patch on the knee. It turned out that he was expecting batman all over them! Hecwas only 3 and refused to wear them even when I offered to put more patches on. You cant win them all. 😂craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@plumduff55, I love Batman and Gran! I made my then 2 year old grandson a Batman costume too – and an outfit for his teddy. He still has the teddy, still dressed as Batman – and he’ll be 15 next week! Lost my pics last year when my computer ate its own hard drive, but there may be apic in the ether somewhere.
I keep a word document open when I’m reading the posts. Usually I sort them into some sort of sensible order, but I had too many to catch up on to do any editing!
My son had a ‘knees oot the new breeks’ event too, @soontobeoap. He was in P3 and we’d ordered the school tracksuit. The bold boy decided to wear it home and, of course, huge holes miraculously appeared in the knees, no idea how it happened! Holes in new trousers were nothing unusual for him (thank goodness M&S included patches to repair holey knees), but what made this situation soooo maddening was that the blooming tracksuit was about 2 sizes too small and not even the top was wearable! He also, first week in P1, decided to do tumbles on the railings – when they had been freshly painted – that’ll be a new school uniform required then!
More lovely cards, @florenceem. Well done.
As for me, in March I completed
· crochet jumper, 6mths – 1 year, green and white
· 1 gift bag (forgot to take a picture)
· 1 St Patrick’s day card,
· 2 anniversary cards.
· 5 Christmas cards
April’s plans
· 4 Easter cards
· 2 birthday cards (GS and DiL)
· 5 Christmas cards
· 4 bunny treat bags
· 2 gift bags
· Cat carrier cover (I can live in hope!)
· Crochet jumper, 1-2 years, lemon and grey
· Crochet jumper, 2-3 years, colours to be decided
