It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Agreed, let's not go there.0

I am ok with the fact that the world "may" be warming as it should in its normal cycle. I am also pro renewables and making sure we reverse the massive footprint we as humans have placed on the earth. In the hope we go about our future existence as clean and environmentally neutral as possible.
The issue with the world is we have very rich people trying to sell their liquid gold for as long as possible. Most know once you are used to a certain standard of income it's hard to accept less. With their bucket loads of money it's only natural they lean on as many high powered people as possible and in the very nature of being human "temptation" is hard to resist.
Anyway it was blooming hot here last summer and the summer before in another nearby county so planning application goes in next month for an external 3 way split Aircon system.

it was a blogger looking at the data who spotted the mistake nasa had been making with there climate change data. that data had been wrong for 7 years (and had gone thru quality control and verification every year). they had claimed 1998 was the hottest year on record since 1880. they had to change that to 1934 being the hottest year on record*.

its all data and its all valuable but claims about its importance/how much it 'proves' can and should be questioned without the person being questioned treated as if there doing something wrong. imo.Mstty said:Anyway it was blooming hot here last summer and the summer before in another nearby county so planning application goes in next month for an external 3 way split Aircon system.
i'm still not convinced we (or most people probably) need aircon in the uk but it might depend on how north you are or if you live in a urban area. we try to use less energy and in the summer we can get down to just of baseload if were careful.
open 2 windows on oposite sides of the house and we need to be careful theres not important papers lying any where!
