Yea I was relieved although it if goes better I will be grabbing it with both hands. It's the top end of affordable whilst still allowing swim lessons, occasional treats etc. any higher ie 5 percent or more and we would have been culling everything and living a very boring life 😂
I am really hoping the rates will have dropped by the time our three remortgages come around - although then I lose my savings rates so its swings and roundabouts I suppose. Under 5% is good though considering how high it could have been isn't it :)

A small amount been paid into the OP savings pot from me today of £8.50 after a FB Marketplace sale :)

    This takes my total to £2092.70 / £81700 = 2.56%

I'm creeping up even if it only a 0.01% each time :)

    Only me :)

It's Etsy payday and although my shop has been really quiet I have managed to make £173.81 in January so I have just transferred that along with £6.90 from a Royal Mail claim for a lost item and £5 from a NSD yesterday into the OP savings pot :)

My total now stands at £2278.41/£81700 = 2.78%

Looks like hardly any progress for a lot of effort but I am trying to remind myself that it is still progress and we can clear this BTL mortgage just like we have the first one :)

I'm finally able to declare another £145 added to the OP savings pot today made up of a £70 order and our monthly £75 from the additional rent increase on one of our properties.

This brings my total to £2423.41/£81700 = 2.96%

I'm getting closer to the 3% but it is really slow progress at the moment :(
