Knew I had forgotten something with the festivities of Christmas. I paid in three cheques on 21st December (claims for lost parcels from Royal Mail) and they have now cleared so have added a further £24.25 into the OP savings pot.

    Total now stands at £35714.26/£47300 = 75.50%  <3
Fantastic. I knew you would manage it. At the risk of being a bit presumptuous when you have been going full pelt already and done so well to get this far. 100% by summer solstice??? 😆 think that's the 21st June. Thought Easter at first but then realised that's a bit soon.
Ha ha - challenge accepted :)

I've just received my final wages from the chip shop (the boss got so bad I quit on Christmas Eve) so £391.47 has been added to the OP savings post along with £17 from a FB Marketplace sale today as well :)

    My total now stands at £36122.73/£47300 = 76.36%  <3

Only another £11352 to find in six months to complete Neverending's challenge to me  :)

  • Good luck. If you've quit the chippy don't rush though. You've stuck it out for ages,it's okay to walk when the boss is bad and if that adds an extra few months that's fine!

Happy New Year to you all.
I have just checked my BTL Mortgage balance and as of today it now stands at £40,504.02 thanks to the overpayments we made last year so my 1% now is actually only £406 (rather than the £473) it was in 2023.

This means that coming into 2024 my percentage paid off currently stands at 88.97%  <3

I have also managed to transfer my Etsy earnings for Jan into the savings account (£119.70), £5 for a NSD yesterday and £100 from cutting some outgoings so my total is now £36344.93/£40504 = 89.51%

I'm close to hitting the 90% mark :)

So our total debts on new years eve were 17941 so the 1% is 179.41 which I think is less than last year. Hope so. I'm aiming to pay off 5-6%.
Edited to add we paid 9% off our joint debt total last year.
