Managed to add a further £5 to the pot today for another NSD (I'm too busy to spend money today!).

That takes my total to £18192.76/£47300 = 38.46%

    Another 0.01% closer :)

Its also payday at the chippy tonight so I will have another £110 to add tomorrow hopefully :)

Just paid in my chippy wages of £110.70 into the OP savings pot and added a further £11 from winning scratch cards found lying around the house.

My total now stands at £18314.46/£47300 =  38.71%

Still not a whole % moved yet but I'm getting much closer to that elusive 39% so will have a real push next week and see if I can reach it :)

    Good morning everyone.

I've been a bit slack at adding money into the pot the last few days but I can finally declare the following:-

    £ 10.00 from two NSD
£   1.75 from change I found in OH trousers whilst washing them
£258.00 from monthly subscription savings (this is set as a DD each month into the savings so I don't spend it!)
£  75.00 from higher monthly rent (again set up as a DD)

So that means I have added the grand total of £344.75 into the OP savings pot over the last couple of days which takes my total now to £18659.21/£47300 = 39.44%

I've broken the 39% mark and am now chasing the 40% down :)

This mortgage is going to be busted even if it kills me ;)

  • Hi, can I join this midway through the year?

I want to clear my £3,000 credit card as soon as possible. I have realised that I have a lot of stuff to sell in my house and am using local sites (as of last night!) to try and shift some of these bits but also think I shall do a big car boot sale in September. Also going to use Vinted for mine and my sons clothes and shoes.

Great progress being made AutoMac and NeverendingDMP.  Also welcome overspenderwhenimbored (love that user name - I should have thought of that one!!).

The interest has been added to my accounts today so I am declaring a further £273.64 from this and also £10.50 from Prime Opinions Surveys and £5 for a NSD yesterday.

    This takes my total to £18948.35/£47300 = 40.05%  <3<3<3

I've finally made it 40% of the debt ready to pay when the fixed rate ends :)

Fingers crossed we might be able to get this mortgage paid off altogether when this mortgage ends on 1st July 2025 :)

    Sorry me again.

Just had somebody collect an item I was selling on FB Marketplace so I've added another £4 to the OP pot along with a further £5 for a NSD today :)

My total now stands at £18957.35/£47300 = 40.07%

Not really any movement but those numbers are still going up slowly :)

    Hi everyone,

How are your efforts coming on?

Its payday for OH today so I have just transferred over £1200 (might be a little optimistic but fingers crossed) and also added £4.70 from a postage refund and £10 from two NSD so:-

My total now stands at £20,172.05 = 42.64%

I love the end of each month :)

I also have £151.70 waiting to be paid into today when I get a second from my chippy wages. It won't move me another % but it will help to nudge me a little bit closer :)
