I've added £95 to the OP savings pot today thanks to half the cost of my son's prom car being paid by his friend's mum, We didn't ask them for any money towards the hire as we were hiring it anyway so it is an unexpected bonus
My total now stands at £17834.75/£47300 = 37.70%

We came up with the idea to pay off our BTL mortgages in the middle of November last year. We had a little go in Dec and added around £1k to start the savings pot off but it is only really this year when we have tried to step our efforts up and have managed to save the total we have (as we used the £1k we had saved to pay a lump sum off our own mortgage which is now has less than £100 balance )
I would love to reach the 50% mark by the end of this ear if possible - then I'll be serious chuffed with ourselvesMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
