I love the last day of the month as it's payday for Hubby :)
This month's money included lots of OT so I have transferred over £2000 into the OP savings pot ready to earn some lovely interest before being used to pay off the mortgage when the fixed rate ends.
Talking about interest, the savings accounts have earned £250.50 interest this month so this has been added into the pot too :)

so my total is now £17262.87 = 36.49%

That means we are over a third of the way to paying off our first BTL mortgage  :D:D:D
It's all going really well. Well done you.
My savings are depleted ...whoops but the kids have all earned some over the past year even with their savings accounts not being that big. It's surprising how quickly interest can add up isn't it. I was quite happy when I opened their statements:)
Good idea about having it ready for the mgage too once the fix expires
    Thank you.
Oh I know only too well how quick it can all disappear - been there and done that several times. Just hoping now that it does not happen again!

Great news about the kids earning interest - you are right - it really does add up. I look at it as "free money" as I don't have to put any effort in to get it :)

Another £15 added to the OP savings pot today ready to pay off the mortgage when the fixed rate comes to an end.
This was made up of a NSD yesterday (£5) and cashing out a £10 Airtime Reward voucher (I love this site as I don't have to do anything extra to gain the points to turn into rewards).

    My total is now £17277.87/£47300 = 36.52%

Small progress but progress none the less :)

I've had a NSD today so have added £5 to the OP savings pot.

My total now stands at £17282.87/£47300 = 36.53%

Tomorrow I will pay in my chippy wages of £194.40 and also have two winning scratch cards (anniversary present from my parents) so will be able to add a further £9 :)
