Thanks there are a lot of them £1, £2 and 50p so will definitely let you know once the auction is finished.

Spoke to my mum last night she is really looking forward to us moving over. She has a hug apothecary that should fit in the new house. She wanted it for years and years and finally got one but it is actually too big for her current house. It has 24 draws a lot with subdivers so perfect for all sorts of things. I think it would look fab in the dinning room. Where we are going to put our current TV unit I am less sure off but since we do not have a sofa yet I am sure we can figure it out. Starting to feel really real as I signed the deeds at the Danish Land registry and they have changed the electric bill to our name from completion. I still need to send them proof I have insurance but I have sent the stuff off for the Danish tax man.

It was very interesting doing the Danish tax stuff. I have to apply for a tax number so I can pay tax on the property. You council tax via your income tax as each area has different rates depending on the council you live in. Where we are moving is quite cheap so that is handy but the other tax is for the value of the property. I had to tick is this a property to live in all year round. I was not sure so I asked them via their chat and they said to say no and then call them when I actually move there permanently. That is really ideal because it means I can hopefully get my redundancy sorted etc.

Anyway lots of work today but no gym so will have a crack at some more decluttering tonight. Need to find a charity shop that takes donations around here.

Heard back from our solicitor for this house and our buyers are ok with exchange date but their buyers now wants to exchange in July and cannot wait until September but August is out due to them not being able to take time off. They live in tied accommodation with their work so really how much do they need to move. Also they have no kids unlike our buyers who is due to give birth in July. Really hope this can be sorted soon we really cannot move any quicker plus the buyers that are being difficult only had their offer accepted end of April so it has not exactly been long considering how long it takes to buy in this country. If our buyers wants to complete on the Monday I think DG and I will stay here in the empty house and then leave really early on the Saturday instead of late on the Friday.

It is becoming so real now!     When I started reading it was an idea, that gradually took root and now, it is really happening!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks Watty yes it was a 3 to 4 year plan exactly 2 years ago but now it is reality. Reason it got moved forward was because ym 54 year old friend died of cancer and that was a good decision as today I am going to the funeral of another 54 year old friend who did a week after finding out she had cancer. It also helped that the real thing holding me back from moving was knowing I would have to give up my job. And then it so happened we now have a major restructure so actually it has been great not having to worry about having a job or not. I really want to be made redundant

Great weekend, good golf on Friday and a beer at the club. Then Saturday we did 5 hours solid of decluttering the loft and everything up there is now stuff we are taking feel so good to be done. Carload to take to the tip today after the funeral plus 4 boxes for charity and a load listed on Ebay. Dg did really well getting rid of a load of photos there were a lot she had 3 or 4 generations I think but all packed away now so that feels a lot better.

I sold something on Ebay for £1 was not worth it at all as I now have to post it and I am a bit busy this week with having to go away. DG and I played golf in a comp yesterday and I had another great round and she did too. She was nice a relaxed so that did help a lot. She had to leave at 4pm yesterday to be at her friends for a court case today. Then she is saying again tonight travelling back tomorrow. It is a shame she is missing the funeral and I feel odd about going on my own but I know I know lots of people. I just cannot believe she is gone and so quickly even if we were not in touch other than facebook the last few years we did have a very strong and intense friendship over the 2 years we worked together. And she is the reason I met DG too.

Today I need to prep for the site visit and obviously leave early for the funeral. I did try to get up at 6am but it did not quite happen.

Loads of order on Amazon, kit to drive in Europe, leather cream for DGs jacket which is now clean and can actually be used, chlorine for the pool, bubble wrap for ebay and finally Slimfast although they do not sell that in DK so will need an alternative sadly.

Made the most of Lidls freebies I love the free fruit, 400 g of cherries free they are almost £4. Also got blueberries free too.

Right work now might have a meeting this morning if not tomorrow. Glad I am not travelling up until Weds morning, I am going to try and get up early all this week in prep for Weds. Going to sewing club tonight but might just sit and knit as DG did not show me where she wanted her trousers taken up or I could have done those.

The funeral was ok very hot and the chapel was too small to fit people in so they held it outside in the searing mid day sun. I knew 4 people apart from the widow and could hardly make out who was who of her grown up children. I did go to the wake but left after an hour it was too a bit awkward but glad I went. Speaking to someone where did make me realise she did have a habit of falling out with people. She still did not deserve to die so young and her children are not that old to be losing their mum I think the youngest is 25. So that is that chapter to closed but it was an important one as it got me to move into management roles (I took a huge pay cut to do the role) and then move on to other better jobs. I did also meet DG. I was actually the only person from that time we worked together. As I said she did fall out with people however they did also set her up to fail this was after I had left.

Things are starting to unravel a bit here as we forgot to take the car in for a service last week. Well it was in the diary but it is DGs car so really her that should be doing it. We also forgot to book golf for playing with our friends on Friday we did try to book it a day early then forgot. When I looked at 5am when I remembered there was a big match on so we would not have got tee times anyway so we will play a bit later and only 9. Actually suit me too. That is a busy weekend with golf Friday, Saturday brunch with gym lot (drinking) and then golf match Sunday afternoon so cannot go too mad with the drinking. It is just as well we did all that decluttering but there is a lot of ebay sales to post but DG can do that tomorrow or later as we have no paper so I cannot do the labels. Sold some figurines for £1 yesterday so not worth it.

I did go to sewing club and did some knitting. I am going to unravel my first cardigan I just do not like the shape or the way the pattern is with shoulders down the arm. I might make the same one as I am doing in the dark blue or knit a tank top or something. I am sure that would be nice in that yarn. I will need more yarn so have to order before we leave so can take it over.

Call with vet last night they might not get all his teeth out as he has had a broken jaw and they can only keep him under for 3 hours or 3.5 hours so we shall see. Poor boy he might have to have his teeth brushed. He is really good so he might let us.

Right now I have 3 meetings with work one has got cancelled but first I need to hand out the washing and bring the last lot in I took out last night.

That was sad about your friend but good you were able to make the funeral and say your goodbyes to the friend she was at the time.

Are you not as well waiting till new place to get wool rather than it being something else to transport?

Thanks daisy_157 yes it was good and a close friend of hers has now invited us both to a drinks thingy so DG also gets to say goodbye which is nice.

Sorry for being going awol but I had a great works trips and managed to do the 380 miles no problem even if the tyre warning came on. It was just so good to do the work I am best at with people who really needed it. I actually really enjoyed it even if it does mean some people will lose their jobs at least the organisation is "safe". I would love to carry on doing this work and it looks like their now might be a chance for freelance but not for the foreseeable future.

Sold some bits on Ebay still need to post 2 items at the post office. The coins have not gone that well but did get rid of the Olympic ones for over £6 so was worth it. The other stuff went for initial bid so not worth it and we will keep those items now. DG got super stressed over it all and so did I so we have cancelled the brunch we were doing Saturday as it will just mess up the whole weekend and we do need to get things done for my niece coming over and the party. The bedrooms are still full of stuff to go back in the loft but I took 3 boxes to a local charity so it is a bit clearer if not perfect. I am going to get that box of too Vintedcashcow tomorrow I am also going to add my Apple laptop I have never used total waste of money but it needs to go as I cannot use it. I really do look forward to getting the house back to normal.

Spoken to the vet re the cat who has to have its teeth out. They might not be able to do all of them in one go which is so annoying but we have to do what's best for him. August completion looks good for UK house so need to book things up and start looking at cancelling utilities etc too. There is a lot but I am trying to do step by step so I do not get overwhelmed. I am pleased we have done the loft so what we are taking is stuff we actually want. Need to look at DGs Ebay to see if we can relist or make them buy it now. Once my coins are finished I will list them in bigger groupings and see if that works. Of the big stuff there is not a lot left to do which is nice but I am going to freegle some stuff. Off now to play some golf

I was go glad we cancelled the all day drinking Saturday as we spent all day doing stuff for the move. There are now 4 boxes for the charity shops, a huge box for Vinted cash cow. All ebay stuff has been posted and Vinted too. More Vinted and Ebay to go today. plus a marketplace sale coming as well. We did not get around to relist everything on Ebay so will have to store it somewhere as we have guest coming obviously. We also got to Bookers and got all the booze and disposable plates glasses etc. Was a lot but it is the only big party apart from my old wedding that I have hosted. Done flyers for the neighbours but not taken them around apologising for the parked cars. I do need to put a note on the group chat to warn people.

Dg also cleared out a load of clothes that no longer fits so her draws are a lot better plus we cleared under the bed in the spare room which helped a lot. Everything we are taking is now back in the loft so that is great too.

We also decided our travel plans for Denmark. Booked return for tunnel coming back in September when our friend who is looking after the car is away so we can stay at her flat which is actually ideal. We are going to set off when the removal van is leaving and then get across as far as Holland. We will then arrive super late at the hotel but hopefully they can give us an early check in and we can literally sleep all day. They allow pets and was really cheap £60 but I have stayed there before and its fine. We can then set of early Sunday morning and drive through Germany in the night missing the worst of the traffic. It was over £400 for the tunnel but that includes flexible times and also we have the return. We will still need a flight back but in September that should not be too bad.

We then checked again with the pet passport and had not realised the 21 day for Rabies was before not within so found a local vet and booked online. We will call and check with them but ours you would have to pay for an emergency app as they are so booked up. Hopefully they will do it or we will seriously have messed up as we are running out of time otherwise.

We did a bit more Sunday and then played golf. We played quite well together but it was so hot and it took ages. Had pizza afterwards some random bloke payed no idea why it was our friends who was at the bar at the time. Very odd. Nice day though but got back late as it was a lunchtime game.

I still need to order some more blue yarn as I will run out for the current project but hopefully I can wait a couple of weeks and make sure i know how much I need.

Finally we emailed the seller of our danish house, she is not leaving anything but its fine we did not think she would but we are going to take a few more things now and take our time before buying lots of stuff. I do not want a house full of Ikea things and we can borrow off my sister I know we can. The seller then email again and again so I did a quick reply and then will reply properly today. She sounds really nice but she only lost her partner in February so that must be so hard. She was 5 years younger but the one who died wasn't even 80. We also checked out the internet company she uses and will chat to them about getting internet installed.

So here is a quick today list for stuff.

    Post office
    Put flyers out for neighbours
    Post Vinted parcel
    Take boxes to charity shop
Call vet check re rabies vaccination
    Sort bedrooms for guests.

Start cancelling all subscriptions (golf etc)
    Order Ikea items.
    Order yarn
