The party was great and it was really nice to be able to speak to people as they arrived throughout the day. Quite a few arrived all around 7pm as they all play in the same golf team. That was nice too as I thought they had eaten after the game turned out they had just had cake so a lot more food went then which was nice as I am now not left with that much. On the drinks side we totally over catered but I was going to check if we can take it back to Lidls does anyone know? We cannot take stuff back to Bookers as I do not have the receipt but we are going to a couple of parties so can take it there plus leave stuff in our friends apartment so we have it when we come back in September. Also turns out another golf friend lives in the same road so we can see her on the Sunday. The party was well worth doing I have never had a big party apart from my wedding so this was good and fun to do it at home. A couple even went in the pool.
Yesterday we did play golf for a couple of hours and yes DG was not happy about her game (so boring I know but I now just ignore it). Niece did not want to come we had offered them use of the spa up there but to be honest what we have her is almost as good. They did enjoy the pool while we were out so that was nice.
We still need to book DGs work trip for Sep and also flights back but that can wait a bit. My niece and friend are very easy to look after it is their last night tonight so taking them out for dinner at a local pub tonight. The friend is so quiet but then I remember how I was at 17.
Once they go back tomorrow (I need to drop them to the station in the afternoon) then we can really start organising for the move and getting stuff that was in the loft moved to the pool bar.
I am taking the cat to have his teeth out this morning, they both cannot be fed so they are not very happy about it. It is for 10am so not long now. My niece and friend are coming too so they can spend some time in our little town which does not have a lot but worth a look.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Just another brain dump as it helps keep me grounded to be honest.
Took cat to vets felt sad leaving him but I know he is in good hands. Dropped the girls off so that is all good I will need to pick them up when they call. Cat should be picked up around 4.30pm and we have the buyers coming over at 5pm as we are going out for dinner at 7pm. It is always fun around here.
Quidco has paid out for our TUI cashback so I now have £66 to cash out. I usually go for Amazon so likely to do that as we need two more Alexa's. We also need to buy calmers for the cats so they can get used to it before we need them.
I feel like my head is a total long list of stuff to do and now there is more to do with the sale. We need to sign the contract and get it witnessed which a friend can do when we drop her some boxes over. I also need a solicitor to sign the statutory declaration hopefully find someone local for that but no rush as it had a spelling mistake in it. We are not doing the indemnity insurance so that is fine no extra cost there. I can give it to our buyers tonight so they can see it.
Cancelled our Virgin account they want a years worth of contract because we took out a 2 year deal. It is likely to be £800 which just seems ridiculous but dont think there is any way out of it. At least for now we have give notice and can send the router back.
Top of my head to do:
Buy calmers
Get forms signed and witnessed
Get solicitor to sign Sat Dec
Sort out internet for new house, tried to get mobile SIM but we cannot until we have a DK address.
Order two more Echo dots
Start cancelling all subscriptions (done golf and Virgin etc)
Order Ikea items.
Order yarn
Complete paperwork for movers and get it sent off.
I hope once my niece goes back tomorrow it will be easier to get stuff done.

Took niece and friend out for dinner last night it was £35 for three just soft drinks. DG did not go as she had to pick the cat up and her back was really playing up. It was nice to just speak Danish but her friend does not say much mind you she is only 17 so quite a tricky age. We did also show the new buyers how everything works on the pool and hot tub so was a bit hectic. She has her caesarean on Thursday so it had to be done really.
I am taking niece to train this afternoon and then before gym drop the car off ready for service tomorrow. Then gym I do love having a hectic life but I did also want to go to the gym not many weeks left.
Work is now more busy as I have taken on two new projects. I am actually enjoying my work it is a shame it is coming to an end. If I do manage to get vol redundancy I might have to string out working until 1st October so might not be able to say I am in Denmark.
Cancelled gym I am just too full from lunch and we need to take the car down so it can have its service tomorrow. Not sure how I can pick it up as I am on my own with DG away. It will be an early start tomorrow anyway as I have to drop her off. Hopefully while she is away I can get some stuff done. on the to do list.

Morning things are getting hectic again even if niece has now gone back. She is really looking forward to us moving back which is excellent news and what I had hoped for. I really want her in my life for sure.
I cancelled gym last night there was just too much going on. We took the car in for service and got some shopping in Sainsbo so that was good. Then DG realised she had not booked a hotel for tonight so had a bit of a panic but sorted this and she went off this morning with a huge suitcase of office supplies for the charity over there.
Bought calmers for the cats really expensive but needed for the journey so no choice. Friend is coming today to pick up some big boxes and she will sign my forms. I have asked on Facebook for solicitors to sign the other form. DG is really struggling now with the move due to pressure of work. Her employer she has gone to see today dumped a load of work on her with min deadline which was just too much. Especially as she is there today and tomorrow anyway.
Work is getting every closer to knowing what the restructure will look like. So far no signs of any delays which is good for me to 30/7 is now D Day for knowing then 4/8 so we just have to wait.
Best get on with work while I still have one.

Morning went to bed early and for a change I feel refreshed waking up at 8am and then not getting out of bed until the cleaner got her about 9am.
I feel I got lots done yesterday and it makes me calmer knowing less things to do before the move. Does help with sleeping too. I did speak to my manager yesterday I do not think our roles will change enough for me to get voluntary redundancy in terms of change of role however there will be a reduction in numbers so still a change.
Getting the paperwork signed today then I can let the solicitor know all is done and that we are going for completion on the Monday which gives us more time on that Friday.
I did manage to get internet for the new house sorted that was quite easy however the 1/2 price offer for the first 3 months was no longer there. It was good to get it booked in and get the extenders too even if you have to pay £6 a month to have them.
Also sold one of my oldest items on Vinted so one more thing leaving the house. There is still a lot more decluttering to do in several rooms but once we get the bar sorted out we can start stacking things up also in the spare rooms. Setting out the office yesterday I am positive it will all fit in there without being cramped. The Ikea bill is up to £2000 now but hopefully offset some in tax as it is for the business.

That is it I have had enough of Ebay a coin I posted 2nd class the envelope has been opened and the £2 coin is gone. I have refunded the buyer and will claim it back but not selling any more coins just going to spend them now. Starting with the first lot in the local arcade when I pick DG up. Her mum was a gambler so seems fitting to spend them now. Also taking the stuff back for credit in Lidl's tomorrow rather than today do not want the car broken into if people see booze on the back seat. Everything else can now go VintedCashCowSave £12k in 25 No 49

Picked DG up and had a play on the arcades it was actually good fun. I did at some point win £22 so that was good too. We then played some of the silly two persons games which was fun too and came away after 1 hour of having only spent £7 due to the wins. The place we were going to eat was closed it was 10 past 7 and most of the other places were closing up. Instead we headed to a nearby marina with lots of food places and shared a 3 course meal for £28. It was really really nice and we just had soft drinks. We ate everything and no waste no idea how one person would eat all of that.
Picked up the car it was £708 for a major service and a part that had coroded. To be honest this is the first major bill for this 13 year old car it is usually very cheap to run. I am glad we got it done
DG has ordered a VintageCashCow box via my referral code I think we both get £20 so that would be nice. As I mentioned I have had enough of Ebay so time to get rid of the rest.
I have my haircut later so will take the documents to the solicitors office, drop off DGs uncles photos (gets rid of a huge bag) so all good. DG is playing golf this evening so I might declutter a bit or just chill. Still not taken stuff back to Lidl so will do a new To do list.

Morning so it is Monday again and thanks for popping in EarthGirl and Savingholmes yes it is moving so quickly and fast. We did have a lovely weekend actually. Friday DG played golf and her leg hurt so much she pulled out of Saturdays big game which was a shame.
I did enjoy the game and the dinner afterwards and DG did come up for a bit so that was nice. I did come second so £20 !!!!!! voucher to spend which is nice. We got rid of a big box of beers for the raffle so that was great. We can also donate some pimms and lemonade for the big game Thursday so that is all good. After the game I was just totally shattered but we had to go out for a party in memory of the friend we lost. The person who hosted it is more of a friend of DGs but I did see her at the funeral and also our other friend was there too. I brought a load of cheese platters so got rid of more stuff that way. We got an Uber each way just wanted things to be easy £44 well spent I think.
Party was lovely and I got a chance to tell the host what actually happened and why things went astray with our mutual friend who passed. It kind of cleared the air abit and the group of people there are all lovely so would be great to get back into that friendship group.
Sunday we took the excess back to Lidl and got a £116 credit which was great. We did spend £92 on a fridge for the car journey. I also ordered all the stuff at Ikea £2100 but that was mostly for the office so can be tax deductible when we set up a company in Denmark.
In other news I got my forms signed and taken to the solicitors and 15 min later we had exchanged. Took a small gift for our buyers and they arrived home with new baby so got to see her which was lovely.
