We had a lovely afternoon with DS and family. DD came home from work early and, despite cocking her nose up at the buffet initially, I caught her filling a plate. DIL, who has first hand experience of autism/ADHD with DGS, says DD will be in a better frame of mind once she’s on the medication.Mr SA stuffed himself with so much buffet food he didn’t want any dinner. He did make me smile earlier when he said he only wanted a light evening meal, just pie and chips don’t bother with the veg 🤣 Anyway he was too stuffed to bother in the end.
DS went into the loft to bring a few things down to put into the skip but just retrieved a box of my old 80s vinyl and an ancient photo album full of photos of me with an ex fiancé 😬 Something lovely happened though, an old gift tag appeared from nowhere and it was to me from my mom who passed away 25 years ago, he said it just dropped in front of him ❤️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Oh isn’t that lovely, almost like she is giving you a gift again.
Glad you had a nice time with the family, despite the initial reluctance from DD. Mr SA made me smile with the no veg!

Haha '...no veg' Mr SA has made me laugh out loud so many times this year. I'm still laughing about the boob tube he 'stole' from the charity shop, and now this!!
Love the Christmas pressie from your mum!

Glad you had a lovely day.
Maybe if you don't want it, some of the vinyl could be sold in the new year to start your 'What SA did next' pot for retirement...
What a beautiful Christmas blessing from your mom ❤️
I hope you have a peaceful and relaxing Christmas day, and that Mr SA and DD are on good form 🥂2 -
My heart did a flutter at box of 80s vinyl. An aunt kept mine safe but has not been able to find it to return it for the last ten years 😕
I think I'll fix my speaker and play some records tomorrow.
