Got most of my jobs done. A couple of things to roll over to tomorrow morning.Found a bank card on the park this morning and put a photo of it on the local FB groups. Happy to say it’s been reunited with its owner. He brought me a little box of fudge to say thank you.DD is working tomorrow which could be part of the reason she’s in a strop as she’ll miss out on the Christmas Eve visit from DS and the GKs. Although knowing her she’s probably volunteered to work to get out of it 😐
Watched Love Actually this afternoon while Mr SA had his siesta. Sad it’s over for another year, it has to be my favourite film ever. Not that there’s anything to stop me watching it anytime. I’ve seen it so many times I reckon I know the script off by heart 🤣

Happy Christmas Eve 🎄
How has it got to Christmas Eve already!
Unfortunately I need to pop to the local shops today as Mr SA is popping painkillers like sweets. He’s had a pain in his head for several days now, he was up at 4am looking for painkillers. I’ve told him if it’s no better after Christmas he must see the GP.Did my usual mid-week finance check and paid off the cc balance. I had a bit of a panic as I couldn’t find the receipts and think I may have shredded them by mistake. However all not lost as I remembered what they were all for and the Lid! and Mr M receipts are itemised digitally so everything reconciled on the spreadsheet - phew.An oddment of £6.35 has gone to the Christmas 2026 pot.My Pr1ncipality Christmas saver matures next week so need to sort out where that’s going. Hopefully they’ll have a new Christmas saver to open.DS and family are visiting around lunchtime so need to get the buffet spread ready. Mr SA is being very territorial about the Gr£ggs sausage rolls and has suggested I warm them up to order so the GKs don’t eat them all 😆
Trying to motivate Mr SA to write out the tag on my present. I’ve picked the present up myself and wrapped it, surely writing the tag himself isn’t too much to ask! Before his illness Christmas Eve would be the day Mr SA went into town to buy my present. Oh my days he used to go mad and I’d dread the cc bill in January. One year I gave him a list of the perfumes I liked so he had a choice if he couldn’t find one and he bought the lot! Another year he asked the woman on the Estée Lauder counter to fill a box with one of everything skincare wise! Then moved on to the Origins counter and asked for the same there. He spent about £500 and I hadn’t budgeted anywhere near that much. He was just happy that they threw in a free head massage, I think I almost needed a heart massage after seeing the bill 😐
Today’s exercise will be dog walking, the shops and Rick’s advent challenge. I’ve joined the Sarah Beth 30 day yoga challenge again for the new year, I really want to get into the habit of doing yoga daily.Tonight’s dinner is fish pie with swede mash, steamed carrots and sprouts. The surgery has just called Mr SA to say the GP wants to speak to him about his recent blood tests and made him an appointment for 12 January. Wouldn’t you think they would’ve waited until after Christmas to deliver that news! Although it can’t be that urgent or the appointment would’ve been sooner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

I think you're right about the appointment - they would have fitted him in earlier if necessary. You could always try for an earlier appointment to set your mind at rest and get him to ask about the recent head pains at the same time.
I hope you have a lovely time with your family today and there are enough sausage rolls for all!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Is Mr SA on the NHS that might give some indication as to why they want to see him .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

Thanks @Sunshine_girl2 I’ve just had a look and his test results are there. A couple of tests have come back abnormal but expected and some satisfactory. The one they want to see him about is cholesterol so nothing sinister. However I know he’ll opt for medication rather than make lifestyle changes.Thankfully that’s stopped him from being so worked up about it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
