Good to hear from you again. You’ve been missed. Hope you have a lovely Christmas too.RelievedSheff said:Merry Christmas SA.
We are not really in the Christmas spirit this year. We only put the tree up last weekend!
Looking forward to a couple of weeks off work though. Today is my last day as well.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
The 5p veg has been nabbed. I haven’t gone mad this year 2 x carrots, 2 x shallots, 1 x sprouts and 1 x parsnips. No potatoes because I’ve just had the free sack. Just realised I didn’t see any swedes. I didn’t spend enough to get the £5 off £45 spend but then I wasn’t expecting to. I’ve got all the nibbles for Christmas Eve apart from sausage rolls which I’ll pick up from Gr£ggs next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I got 15p veg instead as I was in Sains and it wasn't worth driving further to save the 10p's.
I need to figure out the best way to store it all. I'm hoping it will last a few weeks if I'm careful with it.Debts 04/01/25 01/12/25

The 'prepping' thread has been discussing storage and I'm thinking of making a small-scale vegetable clamp - basically layer the veg in sand out of doors. Vegetables used to be stored like this before fridges when the crop had to be kept through till spring.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
