I'm wondering about watching 'Love Actually' tomorrow. It'd be good incentive for getting a really early start on the stuff I need to do then some lovely film time later with the cats.

Well I didn’t get far with the cleaning 😕 By the time we’d taken the dog on the park, followed by taking the donations to the charity shop it was almost lunchtime by the time I started to clean the kitchen. Of course Mr SA was asking about the whereabouts of his lunch dead on 12! After lunch I decided to watch last night’s Strictly final while Mr SA had his siesta.
I didn’t tell Mr SA but the charity shop had a pair of canvas shoes in his size in the window 😬And now it’s pitch black so I don’t feel very motivated to continue cleaning plus DD is back from work so in and out of various rooms. I am enjoying listening to Christmas Sounds of the 70s on R2 though.Oh well try again tomorrow…
I’ve ticked a few things off the to do list so not all bad.The dog has been off her food today but is eating treats 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
That's awful about the nectar points. I hope your friend gets them reimbursed."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Morning all 🎄
Got up early and touched up my roots. Got to tint my eyebrows later. I’ll do my nails tomorrow so might save Love Actually for then.
Went to Lid! first thing and got some more shallots and 2 swedes. I had a couple of coupons for freebies and a 25% off voucher for candles and diffusers that I wanted to use before they expired. The blind has been fitted in my home office so that room is finished now.I was going to get DD a chicken crown for her Christmas Day dinner. She cooks her own food normally but I usually do her something at Christmas. Good job I asked her if she wanted me to get her one as she about bit my head off with her response. I take it that’s a no then 😕 I don’t know what’s wrong with her just lately she barely speaks and has earphones in constantly so you have to gesticulate to get her attention. She’s been stomping around the house with a face like thunder for days. I don’t know what imaginary thing we’ve done wrong but her beef seems to be with Mr SA and I 🤷♀️ Mr SA only asked her a question the other day and she almost bit his head off too! From past experience I’ve found you have to give her a wide berth until she’s got over herself. No wonder she’s still single at almost 39! Jeez 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
It must be frustrating not to have her own place at her age, @Sun_Addict. Perhaps there's a touch of that, as there's a bit of a landmark end of decade birthday not too far away & I think although we all know these things are just a number, these big birthdays looming do sort of make us evaluate aspects of our lives. I'm glad rents/mortgages were cheaper when I was single as I would have found living at home as an adult really difficult.
25% off for diffusers/candles is a good offer. I cheated with my diffuser as I used a pretty gin bottle I'd saved & a £1.50 pack of reeds then just bought a refill bottle of fragrance, although this was at our favourite big local-ish garden centre, where some of the fragrance diffusers really are silly money.

Yes you might have something there plus she may be heading for menopause if she takes after my side of the family. My mum had hers at 42 and I wasn’t much older. I guess this could make her feel life is passing her by. Especially with her brother being settled down with a family. At her age I had a 16 and a 14 year old plus was already on the second house purchase. She shouldn’t take it out on us though. That’s a good idea with the gin bottle. I have loads of empty pretty bottles that I’m loathe to put in recycling but can’t keep them all. I tried putting some bottle lights in but the batteries don’t last 5 minutes. A bar I sometimes go to with friends uses them as water bottles for the table.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The presents are all wrapped 🥳 I always buy a tree decoration to hang on DS and family’s presents. I try to find appropriate ones and this year I had one specially made saying 1st Christmas as Mr & Mrs with their names on. Hopefully no one else has had that idea.
I gave the living room a good clean when Mr SA went for his siesta.Ended up having to put the tumble dryer on as there was an unmanageable amount of wet washing. That’s what I bought it for although I only use it if desperate. I don’t know where all this washing comes from, I’m sure Mr SA puts his clothes in the laundry basket because he can’t be bothered to hang them back up.I sat and watched A Christmas Carol this afternoon with the dog. I’m saving Love Actually until tomorrow.I was sorry to hear about Chris Rea ☹️
Today’s exercise was walking to/from Lid! which is a round trip of almost 10,000 steps plus a live Zumba session at 6pm.Tonight’s dinner was lightly dusted yellowfin sole with air fried sweet potato, parsnip and carrot ‘chips’ with steamed sprouts and broccoli.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
I thought of you whilst shopping. You buy the smoked Basa from Lidlees, so I bought a few packets.
Well done with your steps. I walked there (top a hill) but got a lift home...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Morning all. Up bright and early again with my book and coffee.
The Mr M delivery is due shortly. I forgot I had 2 swedes on it and bought 2 yesterday. Oh well. After the delivery I’m off to Gr£ggs for sausage rolls for tomorrow. I redeemed the free coffee code for there so might as well pick that up while I’m there. I might even treat Mr SA to a bacon roll for his breakfast.DD is working so I’ll give the bathroom a good clean and scrub the kitchen floor.I’m going to make a nut roast for Christmas Day so plan to make that today.Still need to tint my eyebrows.
Once I’ve got all my jobs done I’m going to paint my nails and watch Love Actually.Today’s exercise will be walking to/from the shops, taking the dog on the park, Rick’s advent challenge and live resistance bands tonight.Tonight’s dinner is leftover cauliflower curry.Did a quick finance check and paid off the cc balance.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Yes it’s useful to have in and is frequently on a good offer. I had to stop myself buying it as I had so much in the freezer 😆doingitanyway said:I thought of you whilst shopping. You buy the smoked Basa from Lidlees, so I bought a few packets.
