Payday woo hoo😁
The proper money shuffle is tomorrow when the regular savers need feeding but have sent an oddment of £7.47 to the Christmas pot, £50 to the vet pot, £20 to glasses pot, £42 to the annual bills pot, £50 to appliances pot and £20 to the birthdays pot.
Worked in the office until lunchtime and finishing up at home. So lovely to think I'm not back in the office again until Friday.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is leftover yellow split pea curry with a mini naan bread.
I need to come up with a plan of what I'd like to achieve in October. Will have a think about it tomorrow. The months fly by so fast I barely have time to think about what I'd like to achieve one month when it's time for another month to start! I bought myself a 2026 page a day diary that I use for my to do lists and it occurred to me that it would be the last diary I buy where I'll be working a full year - now that is scary!
I've got a Mr M delivery arriving later so not a NSD. I hit my target of 8, I think I'll aim for a minimum of 12 in October.

Eep, that is quite the diary realisation!
How are you feeling about it what with it soon being a different budget in retirement?

Glad to hear that you have plans not to let Mr SA hijack your retirement. Your plans sound good. It is a shame you cannot get holidays away without him though. I have a walking holiday next week with three friends as Mr ES does not do walking and I think whatever the circumstances it is nice for each of you to have their own hobbies/friends.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Morning all, happy October.
Mid week finance check, cc balance paid off and all the regular savers have been fed apart from the one that's maturing in 2 weeks. I've put the money aside to open a new one as soon as it matures. I've got a couple that mature next month so the final amounts have gone.
Oddment of £2.02 sent to the Christmas pot.
Another overpayment has gone to the mortgage and the balance is under £900 now. I've only got 2 more full payments to go then a very small amount due on 1 January then it's gone. I must remember to cancel the insurance I had to take out to cover the payments if anything happened to me.
Not a NSD as I've ordered some prebiotic/probiotic tablets for the dog. I don't know why I haven't tried them before as she's always had issues on and off. I think she ticked every box of the symptoms of poor digestion. Worth a try anyway.
Mr SA went over on his ankle last night and is claiming it's broken - it isn't. He's moaning about how painful it is so reminded him I know all about ankle pain thanks to him.
Today's exercise has been yoga earlier, dog walking later this morning and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is a new version of a recipe I've made before - veggie paella cooked in the slow cooker from a recipe cut out of an old Good Food magazine. I stocked up on paella rice during Lid1's recent Spanish week offer so have plenty.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Great news about your mortgage
I have paella rice I got on offer at marksies ages ago. And I love the ease of the SC so share the recipe if you can.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
