Not to mention getting one over on The Man by putting a bit of sellotape over that space on the side of a video so you could record on it 😂 Goodness I'm old 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

How has it got to Smonday already 😭 Weekends are far too short.Had a busy day, ticked most of the things off my to do list.Took the dog on the park this morning and got soaked! It was lovely to start off with then the heavens opened.Mr SA went back to bed when we got home. He’s done nothing but moan about the rain but I pointed out we’re desperate for it. He even asked the vicar at the church next door to ask him upstairs for some sunshine 😆
No more snails on my courgettes thank goodness and have managed to pick a decent sized one today with no bits missing.Gave the dining room a good clean, vacuumed and steam scrubbed all the floors.Had a nice relaxing bath with a face mask then painted my toenails and fingernails. The stubbed toe is healing nicely thank goodness, only slightly bruised now and it no longer hurts.Made black bean tacos for tonight’s dinner with enough left for tomorrow’s lunch. Another new recipe which was delicious.I wanted to watch some more of Mixtape tonight but Mr SA doesn’t want to so I’m suffering him constantly flicking between Only Fools & Horses and Inside the Ambulance. He’s a blooming pain with that remote 😐
The new radio arrived earlier and it was super easy to set up. Very happy with it. Had to smile as Mr SA went for his shower then shouted me as he couldn’t work out how to switch it on. It wouldn’t be that switch at the back that says on/off 😖It was a NSD 🥳
Heard a few rumbles of thunder just now and we’ve had another downpour.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Black bean tacos sound great, do you have the recipe? I'm always looking for new things to try!2

Good to hear the toe is healing. I did similar to one of mine once (I have broken toes on varied occasions!) and it was a just a crack but the colour was spectacular! It healed up nicely, I hasten to add.
I thought I was the only one getting nostalgic over old music. I hadn't discovered Mixtape but I looked something o-up on Youtube and before you know it I was listening to Brotherhood of Man! Must be something in the air.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Here are the new recipes I've tried over the last few days all were delicious and I'd definitely make them again:
Baked piri piri cod
Jacket potato with creamy chickpea salad and the herby yoghurt dressing
Chipotle & lime black bean tacos with sweetcorn relish
Tonight I'm having ginger salmon with spicy spinach dhal
Tomorrow's dinner is smoky tofu chilli
And I plan to make coronation potato salad for a couple of lunches.
As you can see I've had a bit of a deep dive into my WW app 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
That's Monday done.
Worked in the office until just after lunchtime then finished up at home.
New budget period starts today so have closed off the previous one. Overspent on the grocery budget by £41.63 although I was expecting this. Overall underspend of £74.09, £44.95 of this has gone to pay for the new radio, £4.14 to the Christmas pot and £25 to the vet pot. A further oddment of £3.92 has gone to the Christmas pot. Must do better on the groceries front over the next 4 weeks.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home. Picked up a free jar of red pesto.
Had my free coffee this morning which has generated another free coffee as I now have a full stamps card.
Today's exercise was walking to/from work and I'm doing a live kettlebell/weights session at 7.15.
As mentioned above tonight's dinner is ginger salmon with spicy spinach dhal. I'm going to make 2 portions of the dhal and take one to work for tomorrow's lunch.
No more fence building activity until Thursday as the neighbour is on nights. Mr SA has asked him if he'd pick up and fit a couple of pieces of trellis at the bottom of the garden where the 'beach area' is. I emphasised that we would pay for the trellis as it's a bit cheeky of Mr SA to ask him when he's already fitted new panels down there. Obviously it's technically his fence but he doesn't use that bit of his garden so no advantage to him to have fancy trellis down there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Can you watch something on a laptop/tablet with headphones while Mr SA has the main telly?
