I am sorry to hear Mr SA was a pain with the hose. Why is it that many men folk create more work for their wives/ partners in the name of them doing diy. .Mr LH has decided to replace the guttering on the garage. No problem you think. Well no but why does every job he does involve me. Finding the stuff he needs, washing the existing paintwork before he paints the fascia, putting away any equipment away when he has finished and he has only done the paintwork. Putting up the guttering is another ball game to be tackled today.3

When life gives you Monday dip it in glitter and sparkle all day 😆
That's Monday done. Worked in the office until lunchtime and finished up at home.
Mr SA seems to be totally oblivious to cheesing me off yesterday and phoned me at work to declare he wants his driving licence back (bangs head against brick wall). Every so often he harps on about this, there is absolutely no way he's capable of being behind a wheel. Good luck with that one mate! It's a pity he hasn't got anything better to do than come up with hare-brained ideas!
Money news
Won £53 on the Lotto. This is the most I've won in years, usually get a lucky dip or the odd fiver.
Did my usual Monday budget check and there was a £10.98 underspend on the grocery budget. I feel like I've got more of a handle on it breaking it down into a weekly amount rather than treating it as a whole pot, I was more mindful of what I spent last week.
Cleared the balance on the credit card.
Yesterday was another NSD so that was the whole weekend without spending anything.
Exercise
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm doing a live strength training class at 7.15.
Spotted a couple of 7 day challenges I want to do, one is the Nourish Love Move 4-30-10 method which is 4 strength workouts a week, 30g of protein at each meal and 10k steps a day. The 10k steps a day is the easy bit as I'm already on 17,500 😆 Funnily enough this ties in with one of the challenges on the WW app this week which is to focus on one of your macros this week, so I've picked protein. The WW app counts macros when you input food into the tracker so it's easy to keep track.
The other challenge is a 7 day balance challenge which is a different 7 minutes balance challenge every day. I still have a slight problem with balance on the leg held together with the pins and plate, it's not as good as the balance in the other leg.
Food
I've got the WW app workshop later where I come out with loads of new recipes to try, although this week's meal plan is more or less sorted.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veg lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.
Household
Clean bedroom and change bed linen. Usual kitchen and bathroom wipe round. Decluttered another kitchen cupboard yesterday, would like to declutter the cupboard under the sink later, I'll see how I go time-wise.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Nice lottery win!
Sorry Mr SA is being challenging, it must be so hard for you."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -

XxCould you start off with a simple challenge to get yourself motivated again. Even a 10 minute one is a start the build it up from there. You Tube have loads of short ones.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Afternoon all.
Started the day off with some sad news. My cousin had to say goodbye to her dog suddenly last night. That dog was a pampered princess and even had her own FB account which I followed and commented on. She would've been 11 at the weekend and my cousin always threw a party for her with loads of presents and a specially made dog cake. I feel daft feeling so sad about it because I'd never met the dog but enjoyed reading 'her' FB updates every day. Fly high little dog 😥
Anyway...
Worked in the office this morning and came home just before lunchtime as I had a Mr M delivery coming at lunchtime. Despite the delivery I stopped off at Lid! for a few things I didn't order from Mr M as they're cheaper in Lid! even with staff discount. I redeemed my free household item and got a box of 60 dishwasher tablets worth £4.89.
Mr SA has bought himself yet another pair of canvas shoes from the charity shop. I've made him get rid of a pair as the amount of shoes he owns is getting out of hand!
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work. It's resistance bands tonight so that ticks another strength training box. I'm also going to start the 7 day 7 minutes balance challenge.
Tonight's dinner is a tuna steak from freezer stocks with Mexican rice (also from freezer stocks) and stir fried veg. The soup I made for work lunches I was so dubious about because it contained apples (I don't usually do sweet and savoury together) is one of the most delicious soups I've made so will share the recipe: butternut, apple and ginger soup. I roasted the squash beforehand as I think it tastes so much better if you do. I just used what apples I had in stock and I didn't swirl the yoghurt through it because I forgot!
