Sun_Addict said:It quite happily lives outdoors without protection all year round. A lot of gardens here have palm trees, very envious of one house that has a palm lined driveway. It should ideally be planted in the ground but neither of us are strong enough to dig a hole deep enough for it since it got so big.

Morning all, happy Monday.
That's a great idea @SuzeQStan but I don't have the skills to build a plant pot and Mr SA has definitely lost his building knack.
Weather too nice to be working. I decided to WFH today as Mr SA is struggling with the dog and I'm in back to back meetings from 10am until 2pm so would be out most of the day. I was going to ask my manager if I could WFH all week but think I might be able to pop into the office for a couple of hours Tuesday and Wednesday so will have ticked the been in the office box. I'm on leave Friday, meeting friends for lunch but will skip the morning potter around town so Mr SA isn't on his own with the dog for too long. I've also booked Monday off for the discharge appointment at the vets as it's in the middle of the day. The dog was a bit sick this morning - on the new duvet cover 😐 so that's in the washing machine.
Did a quick check of finances this morning and everything is ticking over. No cc balance to pay off but lots pending including the vet bill. I'm going to start off the insurance claim today, no harm in trying that's what I've been paying it all these years for. Yesterday was NSD 3 and today will probably be NSD 4 unless we need bread.
Today's exercise will be taking the dog on the park later this morning and I'll find something else to do later. I feel a bit discombobulated today as I'm usually in the office Mondays.
Tonight's dinner will be veggie chilli from freezer stocks with jacket potato and salad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
My lovely line manager very kindly offered to reduce my expected office attendance so I could WFH all week but I told her I'd just pop in the office for a few hours Tuesday and Wednesday morning and finish up from home in the afternoon. Mr SA will be ok with the dog for a few hours and I'm not the type of person to take advantage when there's no need.
The dog is taking her meds today thankfully. It's the antibiotics that are the most important ones.
I had to go out for a loaf of bread so not a NSD after all.
I think I'm going to finish around 2.30 and get outside in that glorious sunshine.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Well I ended up doing 30 minutes over my hours instead of finishing early. Downside of WFH. If I’d been in the office I would’ve just logged off and gone. However I did get an hour outside before it was time to start cooking.I didn’t realise there was a £15 gift card with the house insurance so in effect that’s made it under £100 for the year. Redeemed it for an Am@zon voucher.Downloaded a claim form for the pet insurance. I need to fill in my bit then get the vet to fill in the other bit. No doubt they’ll charge for that. I’ll take it with me on Monday anyway.I’ve hardly seen the cats today, they’ve not even hassled me for food. I think it’s too hot for them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office this morning and WFH this afternoon. Stopped off at Lid! on the way home.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and a resistance bands class later.
Tonight's dinner is stir fry, got some bits of veg I need to use up in the fridge. Also need to give the fridge a wipe. There always seem to be dirty finger marks on the fridge door and spills inside - this is no doubt down to Mr SA - drives me nuts!

Nightmare IT issues at work this afternoon, so blooming frustrating when you have a lot to do 😖 I managed to eventually get most of what I needed to do done but it was painfully slow. Ended up doing over my hours again, good job we get it back as flexi.Tomorrow I’m going to WFH until lunchtime and then go into the office as I have a meeting I don’t want to keep getting thrown out of due to the IT, although no guarantees it will be any better in the office.Claimed my free 🐙 coffee on the way to work this morning. The queue behind me was enormous it was out of the door at 7.30am, just arrived at the right time. It’s close to the rail station so people might’ve been grabbing a coffee for the train.
The dog is coming on in leaps and bounds, you would never know she had an op just 4 days ago. That’s Jack Russells for you. Her ear is healing really well. She’s a little superstar ❤️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Jack Russells definitely have a high ratio of pluckiness and spirit compared to their size!3
