Is it safe for Mr SA to go to the charity shop on his own/with the dog??What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3

Good luck with the list and the shelves. My Dh is usually pretty good at drilling holes and sticking things to walls. We did however used to have a small 18 inch tv on an arm on the wall.it went up fine……stayed there beautifully. One night about 2 am it decided it would crash onto the dressing table. We live on the flight path to a big airport and I can still recall jumping up thinking a plane had come down on us……I was so pleased it wasn’t a plane Dh was forgiven for the drilling of the holes in the wall that didn’t hold the tv 😳😂😳😂😳😂 We laugh about it now but it was so scary…..talk about things going bump in the night.
ive just caught up and love your fireplaces…..no wonder MR SA wants them litJanuary spends - £587.585 -
I managed to do everything on my list plus a few things that weren’t like ironing and a stretching session before I had a bath.Stalled putting up the shelves by telling Mr SA I’m not sure where they’re going yet. He’s been wandering around with his drill all day. Trying to stall them until Saturday when DS is here.Dropped off 4 bags of donations at the Charity shop. Mr SA kept rifling through them trying to salvage things.I mentioned to Mr SA that we should offer to pay something towards DS’s wedding instead of a present and the tightwad said can’t we just buy them a kettle or something 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

I was catching up on your diary and getting more and more nervous about the shelves. I heaved a sigh of relief that you've managed to delay the drilling. Your list of achievements today made me weary just reading it all.

Could you hide the shelves until DS is in the house? Possibly ask DD to put them in her room if Mr SA keeps out of there.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

That's Monday done.
Worked in the office until just after lunchtime then finished up at home.
In wasting money news, for some bizarre reason the heating came on overnight. I woke up sweating at 1am only to find the radiators were red hot. The thermostat is set for it to go off at 9pm and come back on at 5am, in between those hours it should only come on if the temperature drops below 7 degrees. Had to log onto the Hive app and sort it out, not what you want to be doing at 1am!
The final regular saver matured today and was paid into the current account with £90.40 interest. Need to start looking for a replacement.
£200 sent to the 6 months regular saver aka the holiday pot, only 2 months left of this one now. £200 sent to the NW regular saver.
Another £100 overpayment sent to the mortgage - total mortgage now outstanding is £4709.18.
Usual Monday finance check done and credit card balance cleared. This is the final week of my 4 week budget period.
Small spend in Lid! on the way home from work and picked up the free sweet item - a muffin which Mr SA has already eaten.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'll do a short yoga session before I get in the bath later.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veggie lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
