Had a formal invite for the London awards next week and it now says dress code is business dress. They also sent a map of where it is which was no help whatsoever, I can just see me getting lost 😆
So I will need to buy some smart trousers and boots. I have a pair of boots but they’re not comfortable enough to wear all day and I’m a thinking of walking from the train station to the venue (just under an hour’s walk) because (a) I hate using the underground and (b) I’ve allowed plenty of time to sightsee en route. I have walked it before to this area a few years ago and enjoyed it. At a push I could wear trainers to walk in and take the boots to change into just before I get to the venue, which is what I did last time I was this way. I think I’ve just talked myself into the changing into the boots option but I still need trousers. I could do with some anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Well if you're being mse by not buying new boots you can definitely get new trousers. Smart trousers will do you for lots of occasions so a good investment3

Happy Friday 🥳
Worked in the office today. I was part of an event over the lunchtime period for National Inclusion Week. It went well we had loads of visitors and I’m all talked out - and I like to talk 🤣
Found a fabulous pair of black trousers for the awards next week in MnS for just £17.50. I hate trousers with pockets and these happily don’t have them. They will look great with the top I bought a while ago and still haven’t worn.I didn’t have a great night’s sleep last night, combination of stressing about today’s event, the forthcoming refurb work/where I’m going to put everything and Mr SA driving me nuts about the drill. So it won’t be a late one tonight that’s for sure 🥱Some good news in that Mr SA’s drill has started working again 🥳 Apparently it had got damp and has now dried out. Thank goodness for that!Exercise has been 27,070 steps walking to/from work and up and down the stairs at work setting things up for the event.Tonight’s dinner was a portion of salmon from freezer stocks, rice and stir fried veg.Stopped off at Lid! on the way home for a few bits for the weekend.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Forgot to say, when I tried the trousers on in MnS I picked up a red dress from the sale just to try on, see if I liked it as it was reduced to just £8. When I was viewing it in the changing room mirror can you believe the song Lady in Red came on 🤣 I didn’t buy the dress the neck line didn’t sit right but how spooky was that!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Glad you found some trousers for the awards. Shame the dress wasn't right at that price. I am slightly worried about what mr SA is going to do with the drill.

Just wondering if you could take the fuse out of the drill now he knows it works. If it is needed you can always "find" it again but he won't be able to use it without you knowing. This brings back memories of having to lock up the screwdrivers when DS was about 9.

Well done on finding great trousers at a bargain price. M&S too, so they should wear well. 👍
Thank goodness the drill dried out! Do you still think Mr SA will be pestering for a new one now!
Amazed at all the steps you manage to do. I never get anywhere near your numbers, but I feel I walk for ages sometime. What sort of pedometer/ fit bit do you use? Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
