Hope your busy day goes well. I used to enjoy interviewing people but found it tiring because of the need for day-long concentration levels.

Is there not a meeting room / small office at work you could use for interviews?

There are small rooms you can book for just an hour at a time, which I originally did for Wednesday. Then we had a message not to book the small meeting rooms back to back and to WFH if you had back to back meetings. Hence why I'm doing them from home. The larger meeting rooms you can book out for large amounts of time but I couldn't get one for the times I wanted plus it didn't feel right booking a large room for just one person when meeting rooms are at a premium. I'm going to feed back to work though that there should be some private space in the office where you can take phone calls or do interviews without background noise/people walking past. To be honest despite him shuffling past in the background, it has worked better for me to do them from home.

  • Re the online interviews, do you prefer this or face to face. ?When I am involved in interviewing I prefer face to face , but if I was being interviewed for a job I would prefer online in my own space .
