Morning all, happy hump day.
WFH again today. I've having my nails and eyebrows done this afternoon. By swapping around my office day to tomorrow makes I'll be able to do a full day today rather than finish early, saves my precious flexi.
Quick mid week check of finances, paid off the cc balance and sent an oddment of £7.78 to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, walking to/from the beauty salon this afternoon and ClubFit at 6pm (Zumba instructor is away).
Tonight's dinner is stir fry with tofu.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Participated in the 0ct0pus free extra electricity hour so a load of towels went on a hot wash, charged up the vacuum and lawnmower batteries and have whizzed round with the steam scrub mop. Not a lot else I can do really.
In other money saving news found 20p while litter picking on the park, getting paid for it now 😆 Have also been awarded a free 1 day trial of Duolingo Max, although won't have much time to make use of it. Have also done a couple of surveys.
In medical news all of us including DD have a message from the GP to book our free flu jabs. DD has never had one before so she must be ticking a health risk box. Mr SA has finally had the results of his chest X-Ray and they've come back normal thankfully. As we didn't hear anything we assumed everything was ok anyway.

I hope they send me a free day of Duolingo max - it's time I was able to find out where I went wrong!
They do seem to send the free 'super' days when I'm busy though.
I think the free flu jab is a bonus, but it must be a bit disconcerting when your daughter suddenly gets offered one after her hospital treatment. And great news that Mr SA's chest X ray is clear!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I got offered a flu jab for a couple of years after I was hospitalised with the sever anaemia as that level of depletion is apparently a serious hit to your immune system. That came as a bit of a shock at the time too! Good news on Mr SA getting a clear result on the chest x-ray - although as you say, thanks to the delay you'd have hoped it WOULD have been clear wouldn't you!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I had better get in touch with gp if they are starting flu jabs. Mr LH wont have one since the pratice nurse hit a nerve when she wa giving it. We think it was deliberate after he had told her off for cycling on a narrow pavement while passing us when we had 3 dogs with us. There is a cycle path on the other side of the road. As I had the 2 dogs I ended up pushing the dogs in the hedge so they weren't hit.

I would think it would be the anaemia. Although I'm absolutely no expertSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

That's my working week done until Tuesday 😁
Worked in the office today then left at lunchtime, just about got home in time to log into a meeting at 2pm.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, picked up the free muffin and lentil curls. I've now got another free bakery item to pick up to add to the backlog. Bought a blueberry plant and another clematis.
I've got another Mr M delivery coming tonight because Mr SA's beer is on offer plus they have 25% off 6 bottles of wine and you are only allowed to add one offer of each to an order. So I can only order 1 crate of beer and 6 bottles of wine which is madness because if I physically went in the shop I could pick up more! As I have a delivery pass thought I'd do it this way as I then get another 15% off so it's a good chance to stock up. Incidentally when paying full price you can add as many as you like to the order.
I don't know whether I cheated myself out of £5 yesterday afternoon. After I had my nails done I had a quick look at the books in the CS (yes I know I have enough books already 😆) and saw 3 on my would like to read list for 50p each. I looked in my purse and saw I had a £2 coin and a load of bits of change. Paid with the £2 coin. When I was putting my change away I noticed there was a £5 note on the floor by my feet. There had been two elderly ladies faffing about at the till so I assumed they'd dropped it. I handed it in to the lady on the till and she kept asking me if I was sure it wasn't mine. I was pretty certain it wasn't as I never have much cash on me and I don't recall having a £5 note in my purse. The more she asked me if I was sure, the more uncertain I became 🤣 Anyway I left the £5 with her but was wondering about it all the way home. I'm sure it wasn't mine, I would've noticed it when I opened my purse. Oh my days 🤣 This is why I prefer to pay for everything by card.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and Zumba at 5.30 so will be well over 20,000 steps as on almost 19,000 now.
Tonight's dinner is a smoked haddock fishcake from freezer stocks with swede chips and steamed veg.
Had a message from the plumber to say he's going to pop by to check something so hopefully a quote for the work I asked him to do will be forthcoming.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
