I suppose theoretically one can be in charge of a supermarket trolley, and they may even have improved over the years, but surely they have minds of their own?

I want to know if there was someone actually in the trolley which I do remember seeing many years ago.

Many years ago as part of recruitment process I had to check the criminal records of staff (senior and responsible professionals).  They were nearly always clear but I still remember one who was found guilty of being drunk in charge of a supermarket trolley on a major highway 🙀
    That made we chuckle. 🤭

As a student back in the day, I moved house in a stray supermarket trolley. Needed to make a lot of trips from one horrible damp dive to the next one, but it saved the cost of hiring a van.

Ahem,  My DS once came home with a traffic cone.  I was too frightened to take it to the tip.  One of the neighbours saw him.  The shame
