Morning all.Up earlier than ideally would’ve liked as I was super tired but seemed to think a 7am Mr M delivery was a good idea a couple of weeks ago 😬
We need to leave the house around 8.45 to take the dog to the vets for her 10am appointment. Might be a struggle getting Mr SA up and motivated for that time.Need to look at finances later.Getting straight back on it with healthy eating and exercise. Was doing over 20,000 steps a day on holiday so not slacking on that front. Today’s exercise will be walking to/from the vets and Zumba tonight. Will probably have a stir fry for dinner, desperate for a proper veg fix.So nice to have a decent mug of coffee and a toasted crumpet for breakfast this morning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Exhausted tonight. Plus post holiday blues have hit ☹️
Another £100 spent at the vets, however this includes a 90 day prescription for the anti-inflammatories. Still need to buy them online though so another £50 ish. More ear drops too although the infection is clearing thankfully but just not quite there yet. Another appointment in 10 days.Did two loads of washing and unpacked the cases. Most things will go straight back in the cases for the not yet booked but planned April holiday for Mr SA’s big birthday.Moved the plants from the paddling pool back to the greenhouse. Slugs have been eating my raspberries 🤬 Had to throw loads away that were covered in slime 🤢 Rehomed 3 x slugs and 1 x snail to the steep banks full of bushes at the bottom of the garden. Good luck to them making it back up there 😈 Why don’t the little s0ds eat weeds!
Picked some sugar snaps, mangetout, raspberries and strawberries. I also have yellow courgettes doing well.
Mr SA has been challenging today. He’s got through 3 pairs of shorts, 2 T-shirts and a pair of canvas shoes. As if I don’t already have enough washing!Didn’t get around to doing finances - a job for tomorrow morning now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Morning all.
There is always plenty of washing with Mr SA unfortunately. I don't know how he does it.
I've woken up with a sore throat, aching and feeling bunged up this morning. Hopefully it won't develop into anything worse.
Checked over finances and updated spreadsheet. CC balance cleared. Transferred vet bill money from vet pot to current account. An oddment of £6.40 sent to the Christmas pot. All ticking over nicely and there should be a decent underspend at the end of the budget period, although this feels like cheating a bit as we've been away for a week of it 😆 A fair bit of money was spent on topping up groceries yesterday as all the fresh stuff had been used up before the holiday.
Today's household tasks are giving the house a good clean, vacuum and steam mop floors, ironing and yet more washing.
Exercise is dog walking later this morning, strength training at 12.30 and Zumba at 5.30. I've also noticed on my WW app that there's a new live Mindness & Kindness session at 1pm so will give that a try too.
I need to sort out a meal plan for the rest of the month using up stores I already have in and picking out some new recipes to try.
Also need to ring the vets to double check I have a 90 day prescription for the dog as I need to know if I can order 90 tablets. I wasn't really firing on all cylinders yesterday, I was still on planet holiday so didn't really take in what they said. Once I've ordered the tablets I need to ring the vet back with the order number so they can send the prescription. A bit of a palaver but it's the cheapest way to do it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope the sore throat doesn't develop into anything more.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
