@Sun_Addict - You have sun? Honestly, I can't be more than about 18 miles north from you & the sun hasn't put in even the tiniest appearance in my part of the county. Thick cloud & so chilly I'm off to fetch some socks & a shawl. I don't enjoy hot weather but this is ridiculously cold & dull for mid-July.

Well I'm off to check out the loft because I'm not going to get much vitamin D sitting here. Someone stole the sun.

In North Cumbria and all I have is rain, grey skies and it's actually cold - I'm wearing jeans, fluffy socks and slippers, and a jumper - admittedly a cotton jumper but come evening it'll be a fleece. I've lost count how many times I've washed things to put them away for the summer, only to need them again.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Loving the traffic cone stories 🤣🤣🤣
Never done that one but we did once liberate a steel fire bucket from a petrol station. It still lives in our garden with a Cordyline in it at the moment 😀2 -
Sorry ladies. It is sunny and warm in the west country. Rain tomorrow though.2

The sun was a bit in, out, in, out shake it all about 😆 It was quite warm while it was out though.Managed to get some gardening done, have trimmed back the Tamarisk as it was taking over the garden. Filled the garden waste bin as I think it’s due to be picked up Tuesday morning. The dog and cats have had their flea treatment, the young cat isn’t too happy, the others are ok with it.Not feeling the love for going back to work tomorrow 🙁 Goodness knows how many emails I’ll be going back to after 2 weeks off 😬 Probably would be better WFH but thinking the office may be pretty quiet because of the football at least on the male front.
I didn’t get as much done as I’d hoped but will be better once I’m back in a routine from tomorrow onwards. I’m a bit discombobulated at the moment.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope you get a good night, you seem to have been fighting something off for a while.

Morning all, happy Monday.
Back to work - boo. Decided to WFH as I still don't feel right. My eczema has also flared up again on my eyelids so I have two very sore red eyes. Need to go to the chemists today to get a cream I can use on my eyes as I can't use the other cream on them. So annoying as it completely cleared up while I was on holiday.
Nice sunny start to the day with blue skies, always makes me feel more productive.
231 emails to read after 2 weeks off. The two leaders I work for are both on leave so I have the joys of their inboxes too. I guess today will be all about emails and not a lot else!
Monday finances check done and cc balance cleared. All ticking over fine. Final week of the 4 week budget period this week.
Today's exercise will be dog walking later this morning, a lunchtime walk or exercise session and a hooping class at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is leftover roast cauliflower & lentil gunpowder curry.

I wonder if your eczema is helped by sunshine? My son's always improved in summer.
WFH seems the sensible thing to do: no sense in going in if it takes more out of you and it's time saved too, of course. It's lovely to be emerging from under the blanket of cloud. I hope that helps you as you wade through the emails.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sorry to go back to "drunk in charge of a supermarket trolley" but to answer PIP's question - yes they did get the job - as a consultant surgeon!!! 🙀. The incident involved 2 other drunken medical students in the trolley and the drunken guilty party pushing the trolley down a major A road. I expect raucous singing was also involved. As he was pushing the trolley and the other 2 were passengers he was charged with the offence. We always had a knowing smile at each other whenever I saw him around the hospital after that.6
