Interesting that Mr SA has a peak time for falling, or is that general to the population?

You had me curious there, @doingitanyway! I went looking as I thought there would be statistics: couldn't find what I was looking for but did find that RoSPA has free online training on falls which I've linked to in case anyone is interested. (I've not done the training but it might be of use to someone). I'm pretty sure SA knows her stuff on Mr SA and falls already.

I also found a website (not NHS, I think it's a company that does moving and handling equipment and I don't know if I'm allowed to link to it from here) which has 'Frequently asked questions about: falls in the elderly'. I know Mr SA isn't an 'elderly' but some of the causes apply to younger people too. It was very informative and it does sound as though night time brings a higher concentration of risk factors, just as it does for some other things.

I tend to think Cherryfudge that the brain injury to all intents & purposes does make Mr SA class as elderly in outcomes if not in years.

I think it’s the waking up from a heavy sleep in the early hours, possibly confused, that makes him vulnerable. Even I’m not firing on all cylinders at 1am. Thank you for the link and information @Cherryfudge 🙂

In my experience there is no rhyme nor reason to falling though I will say that the incidence is higher when I am tired.

Thanks @Cherryfudge for the link. It makes sense that nighttime and early hours of the morning are higher risk for falls.

Oh I do feel tried just reading you have already completed a Zumba class.
I love a beetroot burger. The gorgeous pink colour makes me feel healthier just looking at it  :)
