I got a fair bit done today and am almost packed 🥳 Had my nails and eyebrows done, nails are a neon coral called Beach Party, they’re very bright, will look fab with a tan, I love them. Need to paint my toes tomorrow, I hate anyone touching my feet so do them myself. When I got back home Mr SA was cleaning out the pond pump but had forgotten how to put it back together 🙄 So that’s no doubt a job for me tomorrow. Every job he does turns into a job for me.Just opened the Prosecco it’s La Gioiosa Rosea Brut and it’s delicious 🥂 Not tried this one before. On offer at Mr M.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I take plastic children's scissors now, but they only cut paper. I had problems with a several rolls of dimes held together with a band - thought it was a bomb, a tube of toothpaste apparently seen from the side so thought it was a knife, a clock, and a tube of lip gloss (the last confiscated in Canada). I also had a problem on one trip because I had folders with papers in the tote bag and nothing else - and nothing showed up on the security check screen. Told me next time to throw in a couple of paperclips so they could see that it wasn't a dangerous solid bag concealing something. You just never know what will cause problems.
In Canada, they told me the lip balm could be an explosive as some look like that. Hope Mr. SA doesn't have a problem with all of his lip balms. Maybe you should pack one or two in a different bag.1 -
I had a bottle of champagne confiscated in China many years ago when you had no problem taking such things. It was a gift for a friend who was travelling with us. I had checked beforehand to make sure it was ok but I think the security guys just fancied it. Or am I being suspicious.1

He only puts 1 in his hand luggage @kayannie after the embarrassment (for me not him) of him having 8 in his bag a couple of years ago. The rest (which he won’t need) will go in his suitcase.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Happy Sunday and another lovely sunny morning. It won’t be a NSD as I want to pick up some compost and a couple of plants from Lid! Will turn the trip into a dog walk. I also need another box of dog food as it probably won’t last until we get back. She doesn’t eat much when we go on holiday. I know she pines for us but she’s in her own home with DD and it’s only for a week. It doesn’t stop me feeling guilty though.I’m going to finish the packing as much as I can today. Also cut the grass and do some weeding. Just remembered Mr SA still has to put together the pond pump - of all the times to clean it he picks just before we go away 😞
I ordered a portable shower grab rail for Mr SA and that’s arriving today. He remembered he didn’t feel safe last year in the shower where we’re staying. I’ve also packed a non slip bath mat. What a time for my current Duolingo learning topic to be entitled ‘visit the hospital’ 😬
Tonight’s dinner is butternut squash dhal and there’s leftover pizza and salad for lunch. Plus as always leftover Prosecco.Self care Sunday is the WW live mindfulness session later this morning, bath and face pack, pedicure and the WW boot camp workshop tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Having fallen and twisted many years ago on holiday I always put a hand towel down in the shower base to stop slipping, quick wring out afterwards and popped in balcony drying ready for next shower.Sealed pot challenge 822

That’s a brilliant idea @dawnybabes, thank you. Finally Mr SA has put the pond pump back together 🥳 It’s taken him absolutely ages but it’s done. Just lately the pond has been losing water quite rapidly and I can now see why, he had set it up so the waterfall pipe was partly running onto the planted area behind it. I’ve managed to manoeuvre it so it’s going back into the pond. No wonder the plants there are so virulent. We went to Lid! but disappointed to find they didn’t have the plants advertised in their leaflet as being available Sunday. I got 2 bags of compost so not a wasted journey, although nearly did myself a mischief picking them up and putting them in the trolley - they were so heavy! Not helped by them being at a low level and the trolley being so high. This particular Lid! rarely has the things advertised in the leaflet 😞I’ve now planted all the rapidly growing plants into bigger pots in the big greenhouse and put everything together ready for DD to water next week. Also cut the grass. Must remember to put the garden waste bin out ready for collection Tuesday morning.I’m more or less packed now. Just a few bits that can’t be packed until last minute like toothbrush. Must check Mr SA’s hand luggage to make sure there’s nothing in there that shouldn’t be.Mr SA has broken his favourite sunglasses so that’s the first holiday pester. Thankfully I think I’ve managed to put him off the bullet necklace 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
