Hope the falls team can help though sadly I doubt they will be able. Unfortunately I was in a meeting taking notes and unable to speak to the falls team. They were here for ages. Anyway the upshot is they've ordered:
- 2 new walking frames - one for upstairs, one for downstairs. The current one he has is too small for him.
- A wheeled walking frame with seat for use outside
- A rail in the shower
- His armchair isn't high enough (new one only purchased last year!)
- They said he needs a pendant alarm - useless as it only alerts me, we've tried this before so unless it will alert someone who can actually get help get him up we're not paying out for nothing like last time.
- He will start some physio and be shown how to get himself up (again!)
- They said our new rug is a trip hazard - he's never fallen over it just spilled beer on it!
Finally got change for the £10 note. Ironically there was a bloke standing outside the paper shop and he asked me if I had any spare change! I had to bite my tongue 😆
I am finally in the process of logging off work! Finally!! What a day! I managed to deal with everything that couldn't wait until my return, everything else can wait.
Just need to finish packing, have a bath and relax before having an early night.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Rather than getting a new chair would furniture raising blocks do the job?Sun_Addict said:- His armchair isn't high enough (new one only purchased last year!)

Good saving on the knee support, well done Mr SA! Glad some things that may be useful are being done. @JGB1955's suggestion of blocks is a good one, or if it's the seat, those booster cushions aimed at people with mobility issues could be helpful. Maybe not from your local disability shop though, what a cheek with that price!
Hope all goes smoothly with your travelling, have a wonderful time xhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
