Happy February. I don’t like to plan too far ahead…..I’m much more a day or so at a time. I’ve had to cancel so many things because of mine or family illness. It really makes me nervous if I have too many things planned, as if I’m tempting fate. That’s why we originally had a caravan so we could just take off when everyone was fit and healthy 👍

That’s my day off gone 🙁
Had a nice morning pottering around a nearby market town. Blooming buses though. Why are they so unreliable. Got to the bus stop it said bus due in 12 minutes so decided it was worth waiting despite being able to cover a fair bit of ground in that space of time. Next time I looked it said bus due in 20 minutes 😩 So decided to walk to the high street that’s a bit further away from us and catch it from there. So I caught the same bus just wasn’t waiting around for it.It was really nice wandering around somewhere different. Lots of shops that disappeared from the city centre years ago and lots of independent ones.I bought a lovely bag from an independent boutique for £18 and two jumpers from Peacocks. Also bought Mr SA a sweatshirt.I caught the bus back to the further away high street and walked home from there because it’s actually quicker than going all the way home on the bus. I was bursting to go to the loo so stopped off at our local pub and decided to treat myself to lunch there. I had a delicious roast veg tabbouleh salad with vegan feta and a glass of Pinot Grigio blush. The downside was the constant phone calls from Mr SA. The first one I answered while I was having a coffee and he asked why it was so noisy in the background so I said I was in the work coffee shop. I ignored the further 4 calls. DD is at home today so I knew she’d ring if it was urgent.I did end up buying some food bits as they have an Asd@ and a huge Mr S so I was admiring their very well stocked world food aisles 😍 Some good prices on fresh stuff too, got a huge bag of mangetout for £1.
Exercise wise I’ve done just over 20,000 steps, that will do.Tonight’s dinner is harissa prawn orzo.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Well done on getting your day out. It is so good to have a change of scenery. I thought your trip might have been to our market town until you mentioned the big Mr S, as we definitely don't have one of those!
Good idea to ignore the extra calls, knowing Mr SA wasn't on his own. Quick thinking on the coffee shop noise!

I sympathise with your bus woes. It is often other traffic, road works etc that hold up the buses not to mention passengers that stand and chat to the drivers as they are getting on and off.
It's when they don't run at all it irritates me even when I know there is a shortage of drivers partly due due to the pay and partly due to the way the company treats them. I don't understand why train drivers are paid so much more than bus drivers who have to deal with traffic, road works, people, money etc.2
