Glad you had a quiet Sunday.
I don't know how you do that many steps a day most days. We were shattered after racking up 20k steps on Saturday. Ached like mad on Sunday!!0 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today and it's going to be another busy one. I have the hairdressers at 9am then the young cat is going for her annual check up and booster this afternoon. Good job I'm on flexi time as work will have to fit around my personal appointments today. I'm grateful that I'm allowed to dip in and out on days like this.
I'm trialling the new direct bus service that's started going from where we live to the retail park where the vets is. This will be a whole lot cheaper than catching a taxi which are usually around £9 each way plus the drivers are always a bit off when they realise I have a cat with me! They're always in a cat carrier it's not as if they're loose 🙄 Mr SA is going to bring the cat on his scooter to the bus stop as it's a fair walk from our house and the young cat isn't as light as she used to be. He will also come to the bus stop to bring her back.
Have done the finance check I usually do on Mondays but had no time yesterday. This is the final week of my 4 week budget period and things are looking on track for a decent underspend. All direct debits have gone out and just waiting for payday tomorrow now.
The Mr M shop was delivered earlier this morning with no subs or missing items. I had a voucher for £3 off frozen food so spent £2 and got £3 off - bargain! Also stocked up with a 2kg bag of red lentils that were on offer, I get through a lot of lentils.
Today's exercise plan is bums & tums at lunchtime, resistance bands tonight and walking to/from hairdressers and bus stops.
Tonight's dinner is trying a new recipe from the Two Chubby Cubs Full on Flavour book - Scabbage which involves red cabbage and sausages (veggie ones in my case). Anyway it will use up the last of the red cabbage if nothing else.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Glad Sunday went smoothly - I agree with others that the question about the keys was a bit telling though - what was your response, just a straight "why do you need to know?" I hope!
Hope the direct bus works well. MrEH has fond memories of taking HRH The Cat on the bus to the cattery a few times - she always got much attention, but he lived in terror of anyone trying to stick their fingers through the mesh on the front of the basket as she would probably have had their hand off!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Our dog loved it on the buses at the weekend.
Mind you he loved it in the bars and pubs as well. He was utterly fussed to death.3 -
The bus worked out really well. The only downside is that it only runs every 30 minutes so I arrived at the vets 20 minutes early, the later bus would've got me there too late. So I was sitting a while in the vets before I was called in. Similar with the return journey, I had to wait 20 minutes for the bus, although I've often had to wait this long for a taxi.
Everything is fine with the cat and she's only put on 8g since last year, so her flea treatment still comes under the category of small cats and ferrets 😆
Unbelievably Mr SA has had another fall and his ankle is really swollen. Thankfully he fell as he was walking past the stairs and managed to break his fall by grabbing the handrails. The dog has also fallen trying to jump into the window - she's fine though. What a pair!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Thank goodness he didn't end up pitching straight DOWN the stairs SA - could have been a lot worse though couldn't it. Do you think the ankle is just sprained or twisted or is he going to need another A&E trip?
Glad the buses worked OK - bit of a nuisance about the timings but as you say you could wait that long for a taxi couldn't you!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
