That's Wednesday almost done. Have been in the office for most of the day, just need to do another hour to make up my day. The office was really busy and there was a nice buzzy atmosphere.
The weather has been glorious today and I regret not pegging out some washing before I left for work this morning.
Not a NSD as I've been to Lid! on the way home. I also need to send the balance for my meal on Friday to the organiser.
Have viewed my payslip online and there is a nice amount of backpay so that will come in handy. It won't hit the bank until Tuesday but I can do my pre-payday budget spreadsheet update. Of course I won't know until the end of November what the monthly extra amount will be although I have a rough idea. Probably the buzzy atmosphere in the office mentioned above was because everyone was looking at their payslips 😆
Exercise today has been walking to/from work plus a Zumba class at 6pm so will be well over 20,000 steps by the time I'm done.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of mushroom curry from the freezer with rice.

Oh what a night!
I was fast asleep in bed last night when I was shaken awake by DD to tell me Mr SA had fallen at the bottom of the stairs. She'd just come in from work and was struggling to open the front door because he was in a heap in the hallway. We tried every which way to get him back up including him insisting on trying to get on his chair in the living room so we manoeuvred him into there only for him to say he'd be better back at the bottom of the stairs. In the midst of us dragging him back and forth he wet himself which made things worse plus we had to keep stopping so he could reapply his lip balm! We finally gave in and I rang for an ambulance only for him to manage to get himself on the stairs then up on his walking frame with the help of DD. Eventually he managed to get himself up the stairs but he looked as though he was going to fall any minute and our hearts were in our mouths until he eventually made it to the bed. Once I was certain he was safely in bed I cancelled the ambulance. He doesn't appear to be injured thankfully but I expect that will be confirmed when he gets up this morning.
It's times like these I'm grateful that DD still lives at home, I couldn't have managed without her. She's pretty strong as she's tall and well built like her dad. It was almost as if his legs wouldn't work last night and he was a dead weight.
Thank goodness I'm WFH today as I'm shattered!
In other news I've ordered the M&S beauty advent calendar and bought some leggings and slippers as they were very much needed. I used the £5 off voucher they sent me plus I bought a gift card via work and got another £6 off.
Not so long ago I wouldn't have worn leggings if you'd paid me but they are just the thing for WFH days as I'm ready for action with my exercise classes and they are super comfy. I wouldn't wear them to the office though!
The Mr M delivery has been with no subs or missing items. Had a £4 off voucher from them plus the 15% staff discount courtesy of DD.
Exercise planned for today: dog walking later this morning and stretch & tone at lunchtime.
I've taken a portion of veg chilli from the freezer to have with a baked potato and salad.
Hopefully today will be the calm after the storm!

Oh my goodness, @Sun_Addict, what a dreadful night, & yes, it's fortunate your daughter lives at home & was there to help. I do hope Mr SA is ok today, I expect he might be a bit stiff & sore from falling. I wonder if his brain sort of 'stopped talking' to his legs & they wouldn't work properly. Hope you all have a better night tonight.

Unbelievably I’ve just fallen over! Tripped over the cardboard cat house and went flying. I’ve hurt my leg but nothing bad, will be a corker of a bruise later.Forgot to mention earlier I’ve got a fencing bloke coming this morning to quote for repair or replace the fence down the drive and new gates.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Oh SA! Bless you please take care. If you have any arnica cream that will help the bruise to develop less / heal more quickly.

Good greif. What an awful night. I hope Mr SA is ok when he gets up and that your bruising isnt too bad. Take it easy (or as easy as you can). Falling often leaves you shaken even if you arent hurt badly.

Take it as easy as you can for a few hours - and I hope you are both recovering okay. Bath with Epsom salts later, maybe?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Take care I’m sorry mr SA has fallen but look after yourself you need a day of rest1

Thank you all. He seems to be none the worse for wear after his fall thankfully. I'm fine apart from a sore knee.
The fencing bloke came out and he said it wouldn't cost much to repair and the good news is he thinks the rest of the fence is still sound and good for another few years yet. It's just replacing the damaged part. I also asked for a quote for new gates for the driveway while he was there. He did say wood is cheap at the moment, it's the best time of year to buy it apparently as the summer demand falls off. The quote should be here tomorrow or Saturday.
Typical that after my spends in Mr S on Monday I get a load of money off vouchers in the post today. No doubt the next batch of vouchers will be from M&S, I've already had another £5 off voucher via email to celebrate 20 years of their credit card.
Looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Mr SA doesn't know yet, I'm just telling him I'm at the retirement do in the afternoon and let him think I'm at work in the morning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
