That’s another working week done.It hasn’t stopped raining all day and the nearby country park has had to be closed because the lagoon burst its banks. Lots of other roads have flooded too. I haven’t left the house at all. Even the lawn is waterlogged. I’ve had my fairy lights on all day to cheer things up. The heating hasn’t kicked in so it must be warm enough inside. The rain hasn’t bothered the cats although the older one has been sitting under Mr SA’s scooter cover most of the day and the younger one under the cover of my hanging chair. The dog has been in the garden a couple of times but came straight back in as soon as she’d done her business.Mr SA is itching to use the new bank card and keeps asking if it’s contactless. I’ve told him not to use it as there’s only enough in there to cover bills. His response was Christmas is coming up. He’s got a Mr T credit card so don’t understand the eagerness to use the debit card. Nothing worse than the thought of Mr SA on the loose with a card 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It has been dire weather and I am pleased I didn’t have to go out in it. It’s rained all day but I haven’t heard anything about local flooding so far, although the river is on alert. I really feel for those who have and especially for those who have lost lives 😢.
Would it be worth you getting Mr SA one of the cards with a set amount a week/month then he can’t overspend but has his own new card. Think they might be pre paid. I know he has his Mr T one….but he does seem to like something new…

To be honest Mr SA rarely shops without me supervising thank goodness. He struggles with walking so it’s not a good experience for him. I don’t think it will be a problem (she says hopefully).I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

DS has cancelled tomorrow’s visit with the GKs. There’s a lot of flooding in his area and it’s not really safe to venture out especially as more rain is forecast for tomorrow.Received the Christmas edition of BBC GF magazine today and it came with a free calendar that has some nice recipes in it so that’s saved me buying a calendar 🙂 All the post was soaking wet, well done to our post lady having to battle this weather 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Sounds like you have horrendous weather up here. Happy Saturday 🥂
The weather is much better today although it’s just started spitting now.Did a ClubFit class this morning then took the dog on the park. It was pretty waterlogged over there so guess there won’t be a football match tomorrow.Returned the dog and Mr SA to the house then went to the big Mr T, dropping off a bag of books to the charity shop on the way. Mr T had 25% off selected women’s jumpers and as I need a couple of new jumpers I bought two. Of course one of them wasn’t a “selected” jumper 🙄 but I really like it so have kept it. Got 25% off the other one though.I’ve tasked Mr SA with planting sweet pea seeds in the greenhouse so that will keep him quiet and out of the way for a while. He rarely does anything to help so this is a novelty for me.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
