Morning happy Sunday. The weather can’t make its mind up this morning. One minute sunny the next raining. As for the wind 😱
I had a bit of a meltdown earlier as I also watch the live mindfulness session on my WW before taking the dog out. Mr SA got up far too early and wanted to go out while I was halfway through it. The dog was excitedly barking in the background and Mr SA was shuffling about muttering, it was chaos. Mindful it was not! I had a bit of a rant and refused to go out with him.
I feel a bit overwhelmed and cheesed off with everything right now so just going to potter about tidying up, maybe get some gardening done, weather permitting.Have done next week’s meal plan, using freezer/fridge/cupboard stocks. Tonight’s dinner is a portion of nut roast from the freezer with loads of veg. Got leftover pizza for lunch. There is also leftover Prosecco 😉Getting really annoyed with the large red circle with a + sign in it that keeps getting in the way of me writing posts. It’s only appeared since the update 😠I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

I'm sorry to hear your mindfulness session got ruined this morning, @Sun_Addict. You need it, it's been a tough time recently (as well as long term). Any chance of finding one you could tune into elsewhere, or perhaps find something that might work similarly like a picture or some music? The gardening is a good idea. (I've pulled up some weeds but also tied in my mock orange which the wind had flattened).
I don't know if you've seen this poem by Elena Mikhalkova? I quoted it recenty and it may even have been here (in which case, apologies and I will scurry off to bake to take my mind off things that are not as nice as food).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I do hope this isn't nagging @Sun_Addict...but you do need me-time. Easy to say and hard to do...I don't blame you for having a melt-down, it's the natural result of everything you do. If you end up in hospital, then what?! With love from just one of your numerous devoted admirers; I'm sure there will be other, better comments flying in. Humdinger xx5

Thank you all for the comments and @Cherryfudge that poem is spot on for me today.I just did random bits including some gardening so I achieved a fair bit without overwhelming myself. I let Mr SA do the dog walking duties, he doesn’t do a lot else to help.Despite the intermittent rain I got a line of washing dry.It was NSD 4 of July and I cashed out £25 in survey money so halfway to my target of £50 for the month.Yesterday I ordered a hula hoop and it arrived today. So far I definitely don’t have the knack 🤣 It’s a padded one not those lethal things with the weighted ball that people get trapped in 😆 It was only £12 and came with a skipping rope and a set of resistance bands. There’s a live hooping class on the WW app on Mondays so going to give that a go tomorrow. Determined to crack the technique. I’m on a mission to try some different classes to add to the ones I already do and I’ve been wanting to hula hoop for a while now.DD has returned from her friend’s wedding declaring it “alright but the food was awful, the weird stuff you eat” 🤣 She’s also brought me back a bouquet of squashed half dead roses - I’ve put them in a vase but doubt they can be resuscitated. She has also vowed she’s never setting foot on a train ever again 😬
I’ve made a batch of harissa, butter bean and roasted tomato soup for work lunches using a WW app recipe. Only a 4 day week for the next 2 weeks. Off Friday and next Monday, need to use up some leave or lose it. Unfortunately Friday is earmarked for taking Mr SA into town to spend the lead money that’s burning a hole in his pocket. There’s a large glass of red with my name on it waiting in whichever pub we go to for lunch, I’ll have earned it that’s for sure.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Sun_Addict I can sympathise with your dd re the train. They are unreliable and uncomfortable in my experience and I only tavel once a month.

Good news about the energy account credit.
Ours is building up nicely again as well. By the time this months bill has been taken I reckon we will have a 3 months buffer built up. I expect OTM will reduce our payment again at some point in the next month or so.3
