In small wins have hit my target of £1.50 a day on QM, received £2.25 from Am@zon shopper panel, picked the first batch of raspberries from the garden plus some salad leaves, basil and mangetout. Also picked some more sweet peas for the vase in the kitchen, they’re growing faster than I can pick them! Oh and nearly forgot - won a lucky dip on the lotto.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

You are having a day of achievements!
I suspect a lot of us (me included) are in awe of that month's menus.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That's Monday almost done. Worked in the office until lunchtime just need to finish up my hours from home. Managed to avoid the rain showers thankfully as I didn't take my umbrella.
The current account has been decimated this morning with all the direct debits going out. Another £100 overpayment has gone to the additional borrowing part of the mortgage - just two more payments to go out on this and I can switch the overpayment to the remainder of the normal mortgage and it will free up £160 per month for savings.
Current balances:
Mortgage £9392.06
Additional borrowing £420.89 - final payment 1 September 2023
Windows/door £1087.94 - final payment 25 January 2024
Still need to send savings amounts off to various regular savers.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work just over 16,000 steps and tonight I'm doing day 1 of Joe Wick's latest 7 days of sweat challenge.
Tonight's dinner is something quick and easy - scampi, sweet potato wedges and veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Pleased Dd is ok. How is your dil doing now?I’ve just caught up and noticed you put a photo of some purple flowers a while back. Aren’t they in the companula family. We had them growing out of the front garden walls and we couldn’t get rid of them….they completely wrecked the wall by forcing the mortar out. They suddenly reappeared in the back garden and have been taking over……I really don’t want them where they’ve decided to reside 😏 Getting rid of them is on my to do list.January spends - £587.584

@milann the plant is a spreading geranium. We wanted it for ground cover in a shady area around the pond where not much grows. I think it’s fair to say it’s done the job 😆 DIL is doing well with medication, she’s back at work now but gets tired easily. The main thing is she’s staying out of hospital 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Morning happy Tuesday.
WFH today - hooray no traipsing miles back and forth with my heavy backpack (my job in a bag as I like to call it).
Mr M delivery arrived and all packed away. I had a good stock up of tinned stuff this week as the prices have dropped and match L*dl plus I get 15% discount so a no brainer. Saves me time and effort carting tins home too.
Feel quite motivated today, for what I have no idea, let's see how long it takes for it to wear off - I predict by 11am 🤣
Today's exercise is dog walking before I go into my morning meetings, live bums & tums at lunchtime, day 2 of Joe's 7 days of sweat challenge and live resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner (consults list) is trying a new recipe - Turmeric aubergine steaks with lentil salad.
Money wise I need to send money to the regular savers.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
