I sold 3 items out of 5 on eBay. I posted the item I sold yesterday this morning as a local shop do the Evri collections. The other 2 items have been automatically re- listed. I need to give a better description I think. I’m surprised one of the pairs of sandals didn’t sell as they’re quite unusual and never been worn.Picked some home grown mangetout and green beans to add to tonight’s dinner veg. I made myself the PON blackened salmon with zingy salad from their website. It was really good and there’s some leftover for tomorrow’s work lunch.DD is back from her hen weekend away and moaning about the train 😬 She rarely leaves the house apart from going to work so travelling is a major achievement for her as she has issues with agoraphobia, epilepsy and anxiety. She declared the weekend “alright” - she’s so like Mr SA in this respect as it used to kill him to admit he’d enjoyed anything.
A bit of excitement in that there was a house on fire just over the back of our garden but far enough away not to be a threat. There’s nothing at the back of us but bushes but there are some houses right down in the dip we overlook (which is great if you’re nosy 😆). The fire brigade put it out fairly quickly but OMG the smoke and the mini explosions! As far as I could see no one was hurt thankfully. The scary thing is if the bushes on the banks caught fire especially at the moment when everything is tinder dry. Doesn’t bear thinking about 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Very scary to have a fire so near, especially in this weather. I hope the people are all right but even smoke damage can have a big impact.
Next time your DD gets invited on a hen do, you go instead. She and Mr SA can keep each other company while you socialise. Win/win.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Mr SA is driving me absolutely nuts tonight as he’s “desperate” for a pair of canvas shoes and it’s the sole (pardon the pun 😆) topic of his conversation 😐 He’s also just managed to put his toe through his slippers so no doubt they’ll be the next thing to be added to the list.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

That's Monday done. Worked in the office until lunchtime then finished up at home.
Not a NSD as I had to pick up some posting bags from £land for the eBay items plus call into L*dl on the way home.
New 4 week budget period starts today. I had a £4.44 overspend in the grocery budget and an overall underspend of £15.85. I'm determined to be more careful this coming month as June has been very spendy indeed!
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm going to do a short yoga session at 5pm from the FitOn app.
Tonight's dinner is tuna and tomato spaghetti from the new PON Budget cookbook. All new recipes this week will be from this book.

I like the PON books. I made the thai-spiced fish & noodle thing last week.

Morning, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Mr M shop delivered and packed away, just one sub which I returned. Also posted another eBay parcel. Annoyingly another sold item hasn't been paid for yet, I was hoping to be able to post this at the same time as the other one this morning.
I'm supposed to be going to a friends of the park across the road meeting tonight, don't really feel like it but the meetings are usually quite productive and I'm always glad I made the effort in the end.
Today's exercise, already done just under 5,000 steps walking to post the parcel and back, will nip out with the dog later, then it's live bums & tums at lunchtime and live resistance bands tonight followed by walking to the meeting venue and back. I think that will do me for today!
I'm going to see what needs using up from the fridge for tonight's dinner, I was originally going to have a portion of veg chilli from the freezer but when I was putting the shopping away I noticed a few bits not looking their best.
Cleaning task is the bathroom, the tiles could do with a good scrub and the limescale remover spray needs to work its magic in some areas.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
So annoying about the eBay bits not being paid for straight away. It’s so good to get rid of them the moment the sale happens. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh my word, 5000 steps by 7.35 in the morning. I really need to take a leaf out of your book. Although I had a very bad night last night and was awake till gone 2am and then woke up several times between 3 & 6, so not really awake properly yet...lol. Just about to get going with a stretch routine and then a walk down to the local Tuesday market, although it looks like rain.
Have fun cleaning the bathroom.Making the debt go down and savings go up
