Morning ☀️

Aiming for a NSD today but Mr SA has remembered L*dl are doing some canvas deck shoes from today and is on a pester. I told him I’ll pick some up on my way home from work tomorrow so hopefully that will pacify him. 

I’m washing the bed sheets yet again plus 3 lots of Mr SA’s clothes he had on yesterday 😞 That man is a flood in human form!

I really need to get some housework done today instead of sitting in the garden all day, the kitchen and bathroom at the very least. I’m a devil when the sun shines I just want to be outside basking in it - I think I was a lizard in a former life 😆

We’ll take the dog for a park run shortly before it gets too hot for her. Mr SA has forewarned me I’ll need my litter picker and bin bag as there was a lot of litter when he took the dog over there yesterday. So frustrating- there are plenty of bins, there’s no excuse 😡

Making a nut roast for tonight’s dinner from an old Thrifty Lesley recipe. It makes quite a bit so need to make some room in the freezer. 

Right better get on with it …

I haven’t done any housework but have done loads in the garden. I’ve kept popping inside to make my nut roast so I don’t have to do it all in one go. Yes the cleaning can wait for another day, the weather’s too good to be indoors. The kitchen gets cleaned every day anyway. 

Had to say goodbye to a houseplant I’ve had for a very long time. It’s not been looking great for a while. Someone at work gave it me over 20 years ago, it was tiny when I took it on and it grew to over 7ft. The leaves have been dropping off for some time and it was down to its last two 🙁

Occasionally. She works shifts so not always compatible with suitable cleaning hours. To be honest she’s not the best at cleaning and I’d rather she stayed clear. She thinks I’m obsessed 😐

I could kill Mr SA. He’s only knocked over a candle in the living room and the wax has gone everywhere. All over the expensive new floor, all up the front of the leather sofa and up the side of the coffee table. I’ve just spent ages on my hands and knees scraping it up with a stripping knife. It’s not coming off the sofa. I steam scrubbed the floor afterwards but you can still feel some of the wax residue.

Apparently it wasn’t his fault 😡🤬

oh no,! that sounds awful. I once had some success with lifting candle wax off carpet and furnishings with a iron on very low heat through a tea towel.
