I'd let him get patient transport, you need as much of a break as you can get.
Its not unreasonable either for you not to feel safe handling him alone so soon after a fall.
I really wish they'd kept him for a day or two (not for him to be worse of course)4 -
I had to book him a taxi. He’s home now and very proud to be sporting a pair of hospital socks 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

At least you didn't have to go and get him! And he's well enough to be discharged. And he's discharged with antibiotics. And you are still sane and have gel nails.
Hospital socks, eh? At least they skipped the pester list stage.

I am glad your husband is OK but nothing has really changed for your caring responsibilities. Consider ringing your Adult Social care team and ask for a new assessment. This is too much for one person to cope with.5

sadly Mr SA has long brain damage with frequent incontinence and falls. Surely any help would be good. Ultimately it is down to you, I just want you to know that there maybe options to make life a little less stressful for you.4

Sadly it is indeed Mr SA who is very very resistant to outside help.
