Morning all, happy Friday eve. I was dreading this full week back at work but it seems to be flying by.
WFH today.
Not a NSD as I need to go to Lid! to pick up the things I couldn't manage yesterday plus the new offers start today.
I've had an email from FitBit to say they've received my faulty one and now want me to confirm the model and colour of the old one - surely they can tell that from the faulty one. This exchange seems to be taking forever!
Today's exercise will be the walk to/from Lid!, as it's a good walk away, and a live stretch & tone class at lunchtime. I'm also going to do a yoga session after work.
Tonight's dinner is another new recipe from the WW app chickpea, potato and spinach stew, I'm going to make 2 portions one for tonight and the other to take to work for lunch tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Good morning. That’s bad customer service, you’d think it would automatically be a like for like replacement according to what they receive 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

FitBit excel in poor customer service in my experience. I gave up on them at the stage when they wanted to replace my Charge 3 with yet another one, which I was already pretty certain was going to have precisely the same faults as the two previous ones, allowing for the number of people on their user forums complaining about exactly the same issues! having had my Garmin for a while now I can happily say I wouldn't touch another 5h1tbit with a barge pole borrowed from the owner of the worlds longest barge poles.... A lot of people seem to suggest that when FB's customer service team continually offering replacements, it's purely to get users to the point where they can tell them they are out of warranty and so will do nothing more. I had to have my fit bit replaced after a year as it just dimmed to the point I couldn't read it properly. Luckily I bought it from JL so just returned it to them and got a new one. Which was fine until I got it caught in my waistband when I was tucking a shirt in. Snapped the bit that enables the strap to be fitted to the clock bit. Gave up then. Got a lovely new watch for Xmas, and tbh not even missing the step count.

That’s the first full working week of January done, well sort of as I finished at lunchtime.I was in the office today and took advantage of our work coffee shop’s Cost@ and a cookie for £1 Friday offer. Be rude not to 😆Exercise has been walking to and from work, didn’t do anything else when I got home as I had to give the bedroom a good clean and change the bedding thanks to Mr SA.I resisted the temptation to buy a pair of bargain wellies from J0ules reduced from £60 to £16.95. Although I could do with a new pair for taking the dog on the park, I need a comfortable pair of boots for walking to work more so the money would be better going towards them. I still have the £20 gift card someone at work gave me before Christmas to spend. It’s been a low spends day £1 for the coffee/cookie and £1.99 for a magazine. The replacement FitBit has been despatched 🥳
Someone at work has started up a theatre/concert group for women who don’t have anyone to go with for various reasons and I’m thinking of joining. Mr SA will go to the odd thing and I get in free as his carer but he’s not interested in most of the things I want to go to. When my mum was alive we used to go to the theatre a lot and I really miss it.DS and the GKs are coming tomorrow so the Christmas presents can finally be moved from the spare bedroom.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

They have some fabulous wellies @beanielou. I might cave in yet 😆
In money dealings, DD paid her board today so that has gone straight to the holiday pot. Also sent an oddment of £2 to the Christmas 2023 pot. Forgot about the 1p challenge pot but will sort that out tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

It's always nice to go with someone, but don't rule our attending alone if it's something you really want to see.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉7
